Ideal for Electric Bike ..
Build an Electric Bike with a Bafang Motor. The only problem was you cannot have dual or triple front cogs. Problem solved with a SRAM Dual Drive and this little unit. Only problem is changing the position of the front cable to get to the back. You finish up with two cables on the same side. Works really well and gives a selection of gears. Now have 24 on an electric bike so should get up most hills. Great Product.

Mine has been on for a year and has been removed and put pack 7 x. (for other repairs or changes) Since getting a SRAM Dual Drive, I haven't seen a hill I won't try. I, as a non bike mechanic have broken 2 of these click boxes (not bought here), but I know it's me and not the product because several mechanics have removed mine and my husbands and never broken them. Warning: If the bike shop asks "What's a click box?" don't let them touch it, they don't know dual drive.

I received 2 click boxes, requesting a replacement for the first. They both have the same defect. The lever arm which slides under the head of the shifting rod does not extend far enough to hold the rod properly. The rod head can still slip through the opening when the arm is in position and will pop off with the first shift. I made a plate to attach on the inside and reduce the clearance throughout the range of shifting. It now works and I'll keep the 1st box -- am returning the replacement untouched since it is equally defective -- this is a manufacturing error, a bad production lot or something. the securing arm is 1+ mm too short. be careful. The SRAM DD3 hub and rod I'm using is only one year old.

It the same brand item and part as I replaced and was delivered within 2 days as promised. Any problem with it originates with the maker and not the seller. These work fine but they're somewhat delicate in construction so I'll be ordering a few more soon in anticipation for when (unfortunately not "if") they break.
