Does this work for hidden ankle socks?

Yes my husband wears ankle socks ankle braces under those plus a knee brace and uses the sock assist so I no longer have to put them on . I hope that this was helpful to you.

Does this come with one sockslider or two

2 items shown come in the kit: it is a 2 part kit, (1) is a rack for placing your foot in. (2) is a handle device to help you grab the rack with less stretching of your hand or arm. I works great for me,

Footless socks? Would this work? My mom can only use footless compression socks. Would this work?

I’m not completely sure what “footless” socks are, but assuming they are similar to the compression knee braces that I wear the answer is yes. My knee braces are tubular, stretch material that I need to slide on and up my leg. The sock slider works perfectly for this. I also have a bad back that restricts my bending over. Perfect for my socks and knee braces.
