Micro-Mark Magnetic Gluing Jig, 10-1/4 Inch Square

Very flexible work area. I built two kits for my N scale layout. One was the Atlas round house and the other was the Walthers power company. Each required large pieces to be glued in the assembly process. the magnets are super strong and I was able to hold large pieces at right angles while gluing them together. I tried other right angle clamps in the past, but they never worked while holding large pieces in different angles, this did. The variety of holding angles, other than just right angles, is easily done with some imagination. Solid metal base and super strong magnets make this a must use in kit building.

Sides are not square but are close to 90° If you’re looking for precision this probably isn’t the jig for you. On all the side there is minor warping but it’s minor. Magnets are also only glued on one side (supposed to be like that) but it’s kind of a headache to have them that way. Overall I’d say I’m not impressed but it’s good enough to not warrant a return. I’m sure I’ll use it for less precise projects.

I have been very happy with this jig. It is very helpful for making right angles and corners of furniture for the miniature that I am currently working on. My only criticism is that half of the magnet cover comes off, which is a feature that I don't understand. Otherwise, very happy with this product and would happily purchase again!

I needed this for a 1:24 scale picnic table build. The small wooden slats were just too difficult for me to hold in place during assembly. This jig was a huge frustration saver! The size is perfect for smaller model building and miniature projects. I don't know how I went so long without one. I did go to the manufacturer site and ordered extra magnets. I recommend this for miniature hobbies.

I love this simple tool. It is probably the only tool I have bought that has been worth very penny. My only complaint is I wish they included more magnets as I work in miniature and could glue many more items with more magnets.

I find this item very useful except for the fact the magnets are strong (good), but glue sticks to the metal and grabs when removing the magnetics. It would be great to have a non stick coating on the top of the bottom. I do like this item a lot.
