Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought the air pump and air stones to assist in propagating plant trimmings. The bubbles and air flow helps root stimulation and people do buy them for their fish tanks for the same purpose if there are live aquatic plants. It's very quiet and has worked nicely with the included tubing. The air stone fits tight, it's snug at all points with no water leakage at all. I also like that it's creating more humidity that plants need, when I have it running in my open propagating bowl beneath my hanging plants. It's been an excellent value for the price and it's small size is perfect for concealing behind a flower pot.

works great, super quiet

Whew....finally put the air pump together for my 20 gallon fish tank. I already had an internal air filter inside while "cycling" my new tank and it is whisper quiet, but it was not giving enough surface agitation (upon learning after much internet learning and many youtube videos.) So I decided to also get a sponge filter and both this sponge filter and Pawfly air pump arrived at the same time. At first it seemed like rocket science to put it all together, but eventually figured it all out. I put that little red piece in backwards at first but was only getting one bubble at a time and remembered reading somewhere it may be in backwards, which it was. When I turned it in the other direction, then wow many awesome bubbles. So basically I was sooooo terrified that this was going to be soooo super loud and I read so many reviews on the air pump and braced myself for the noise like when I had a HOB filter and had to replace it with the internal filter and loved it so much. Well I plugged it in and WoW or Wow, super whisper quiet just like advertised. I did see in some of the comments that placing it on a towel or microfiber cloth would help with noise so I had a couple ready from my glasses case, the cloths that is. So sitting on 2 of those, I can hardly hear anything. The bubbles from the sponge filter is very minimal sounding and I put more water (dechlorinated) in the tank and It is sooo perfect and all is good.!!!! Sooo happy, now next step . . . to get some fish--- been cycling for about of month now. :0)

Good product!! Lots of reviews say it’s loud but I think it’s mainly just how you position it and what surface you rest it on. Mine is on a wooden stand and is in my opinion decently quiet! Very good quality for the price, easy to set up and does well with getting lots of flow into my sponge filter!! Definitely recommend.

My fish love it and they like to swim thru the bubbles and hang out by it. There is a slight humming sound to the motor but it's not distracting. 39 gallon tank.

Quiet and works as it should, but go ahead and put a control valve in the cart too. You’ll need it.

Does the job. The tubing started getting moldy pretty fast... it has to be cleaned or replaced regularly. It was quiet at first, but it is pretty loud now. Probably wouldn't buy again, but it gets the job done.

I was actually shocked at how much air this little pump creates. Its powering a large sponge filter quite nicely. Is fairly quiet and for thos price I definitely have zero complaints.

Smaller than I expected but works just perfectly. Although it is a tad bit noticeably loud, I tuned it out in ni time. Fish are very happy. Also when you get it and your confused on why one of the two ends dont fit on each other, I just cut part of the plastic tube (probably says it in the description) but altogether its a great product and I would buy again 5 stars.👌

Excellent little pump, good quality, ordered in January and still goes strong and quiet enough to be used 24/7 in the living room, even at night or watching a movie, barely noticeable.
