Solid simple tracker
I thought unlike others I would leave a long term review. This was my first dedicated tracker having always used Apple watch. I didn't want to spend much money on a secondary device, so this fit the bill. Honestly I hated it at first. Rubbish screen, can't really do anything with notifications, having to get my head around Polar flow. But I perceveired and after 2 months everything started to come together. Polar flow and fit spark are really powerful tools. Polar flows web app with its guides and planner are really useful tools. But for the watch itself it became a simple fact less is more. It tracks everything I need for training, recovery and sleep. It's screen is really good in sunlight and unlike smart watches with fancy displays, actually gets better the brighter it is. It's GPS is connected rather then on the watch. Truth is it really helps with battery life. There's no touch screen which when running is actually better. No mis-touches or actions. The watch is light and battery lasts in my case between 7/8 days with notifications switched off. I will say the inbox strap isn't great. It irritated my skin but that's probably just a me thing. I've swapped in for a official branded band now. It's fast and responsive and easy to navigate. Continuous HR tracking works great. It charges fast too in around 45 mins. It's been pretty accurate for me on all fronts. In summary it's a very refined simple dedicated tracker that's been reliable for me at least. And 2 years later it's an absolute steel. On release it had a few flaws. They've all been ironed out. At its lower price it's a no brainer if you want a basic solid option for running or general activities. It's not suited for navigation really and I use Suunto for that. But on dedicated routes and general training it's brilliant. Just be realistic about the type of watch it is and you will be rewarded.

Seems much more accurate than the other wrist one I've got
Seems far more accurate than the 5 year old well known Chinese brand one I had.Still occasionally picks up stupidly high readings like it's occasionally doubling the count but mostly it's accurate.I've got bradycardia and it does detect my pulse at lower than 40.Links nicely to the free polar flow app, which in turn directly loads into Strava. It's much better than the other one as a sports/exercise utility watch, it's not something that looks handsome on the wrist though, imho.Battery life is ok, but not amazing, probably needs a top up every 5 or so days if you wear it continually.Definitely great value for the price with decent accuracy and good integration with Polar apps (I'm using android and pc, not Apple) and Strava, etc.

Excellent smart watch
This is a really good smart watch that works well. It’s especially good when exercising, and seems accurate. Four stars.

Great sports watch/computer
A replacement for my Polar Vantage M that's cheaper and more feature-full.

Reset if the battery runs out or won't sync
Appears if the battery runs out and you charge it comes back on with the wrong date. If now try to sync post activity then it gets confused and deletes your activity. Never had this problem with Garmin, has happened twice in the last month. Flaming furious!

Great design, comfortable to wear it.
This Polar Pacer GPS running watch with high speed processor works excellent with no any errors. Very lightweight (40g) only, has ergonomic design with super-grip buttons. Has hyperfast processor, always-on MIP color display, accurate GPS and long-life battery. What he has: pace, time, distance, stopwatch, lap timer and Interval timer. Polar precision prime optical heart rate tracking technology. Music controls, push notifications and compatible with 3rd party apps (Strava, Adidas Runastic, Nike Run Club and others). If you will get serious, having a suite of powerful training features at your disposal will help you run towards your goals like: FitSpark daily training guidance, FuelWise smart fuel reminder and energy sources, polar running program and training load pro. I have to admit that this watch is my favorite one now. I'm wearing every day and doesn't even take it off her hand. This is great value for money (169,50) at the moment. Good quality watch, that's why I can easily recommend it to anyone.

Overall Good but Inaccurate Heart Rate Monitor
I've not been having much luck with the Polar Pacer, after I wore out my existing Polar watch, to which I had to connect a heart rate monitor for accurate readings. I have tried about three or four pacers, mostly used like new versions and I'm not impressed.I do not want a smart watch, just a fitness watch and hoped that Polar Pacer would live up to its description.Positives:* Easy to wear and comfortable.* Really easy to change the strap and there are some funky colours and styles available.* Quite affordable for the most basic of Polar Pacer fitness / sports watch.* Records sleep patterns, and it's quite impressive seeing the stats on the Polar Flow app.* Encourages you to get up and move.* Connects to music (via bluetooth) and can fast forward to the next track, which is wonderful when driving as I hate the AI interfaces.* Has a good collection of sports activities to record, including walking, other outdoor (gardening at allotment), strength training, indoor rowing, running, climbing etc.* Very easy to flick through during recording training to see heart rate level, calorie burn, switch music (when connected via Bluetooth) etc.* Does connect to an external heart rate strap, which is effective for machines that connect to heart rate straps like rowing machines or bikes, but makes no difference to the watch itself as it's inbuilt heart rate monitor makes no difference.Negatives:* Gives very inaccurate heart rate readings during activity, even walking, so does not provide a true calorie burn. When I was walking up a hill when I know my heart rate would be into the 150 or 160 bpm, the reading is about 115. Puts me off. Yes, tried following the instructions and tightening the wristband and wearing it slightly higher, but made no difference.
