They work like being in the sun, for seasonal despondancy
Nice, bright, lasts a long time ... goes in my "sunlamp" I bought years ago. I feel it makes a difference in winter when I don't go out much and am covered up for the cold. This was replacements. I have two pole lamps and two desk lamps that use this bulb.

Why do the bases have subtle shape differences, preventing fit, when they are the same thing?
They're the wrong base for my Verilux desk lamps. How do I say it? One base is an oval with tabs on either side that help to guide and seat the bulb into the socket. The bulbs I received are what I can only describe as a split oval in shape with tabs on either side that sit flush with the bottom edge of the base of the bulb. Getting "warm white" instead of that "full spectrum" whiter light bulbs is a bit challenging. Bulbs didn't fit. So, I carefully, craftily, and patiently filed down the plastic tabs with some sandpaper and a mill file.... and they fit and worked like a charm. Fit! Worked! Warm fluorescent bulbs for my old Verilux lamps, in spite of the tedious detail of the different base, though identical, regarding the overall shape and the "4-pin" pins.

This is a second replacement bulb for my Sun Light Lamp by Lights of American. First bulb purchased from a local store, rated 2700K, very yellow and felt dark. It's a hard to find bulb in local lighting stores. Now I found it at Amazon and the bulb is at my door within two days. Wow, 6700K, what a different! It is bright, white light mimic sun lights. I am very happy with this purchase, price and quality. I highly recommend it as a FML27 4-pin replacement bulb.
