I’ve had to travel with my cat several times over the years, and litter has always been a problem, especially on multi-day trips. This has made my life so much easier and I’ll never buy another travel litter box again. My cat loooooves to dig in his litter. Sometimes, I think he was an archaeologist in a past life. He kicks litter around like he’s at a New Years Eve party and he’s drunkenly tossing confetti. This box did a great job of minimizing the mess while still letting him attempt to strike oil. Easy to assemble, it took less than five minutes to have everything popped up ad the litter dumped in the pan and ready to use. Clean up was super easy, too. When we were done, we just reversed the pop up process and it folded back down into itself so we could just drop it into a garbage bag. No trying to hose down a dirty plastic pan (ew) or trying to clean up thousands of tiny rocks that have formed an asteroid belt around the box (also ew). Much easier than what we even do at home! I was concerned that he might pee through to the floor - the litter box is just cardboard, after all. Not exactly something you’d want to try to sail across the ocean in. To my surprise, I never found a leak. And believe me, I checked. Whatever is in that litter is very good. For a little additional stability, you may want to use the top of the box on the bottom or top of the cube. It makes it a little more sturdy. The litter is non-clumping, and I thought it was a little dusty - but I have asthma and I’m a little sensitive. If you need to travel with your cat, buy one of these. It will make your life so much easier.

This is the second year we've used this in our car while traveling for three days with our cat. It's so easy to set up, and we put it in the back of the car (we have a small SUV but you could also put it on the back seat of a smaller car.) Our cat even uses it while we're driving. It's easy to collapse and bring into the hotel room. It comes with a bunch of cardboard scoopers. We bring a couple of plastic bags for the scooped litter. You don't need to scoop the urine. Somehow the crystal litter absorbs if with no odor. We only scooped the poop when needed and it was fine for three days. We throw out the litter and collapse the box and save it to use next time. You do have to replace the litter if you do that. Our cat uses Slide litter at home but adjusts fine to the blue crystal litter while traveling. I really love this travel litter box. It makes my life so much easier. Because it has a top and sides, the litter doesn't go out of the box.

It was our first time traveling with our cat. This was a convenient product and was perfect for a 3 night trip at a bayside resort. However, our cat was able to kick litter out of the backside of the box where it does not seal up completely. It left quite a mess to clean. Also, the cardboard scoops were useless. We managed to clean the litter, but not without a lot of frustration. All that being said, for a travel littler box, this was easy to pack, Easy to put together, the cat used it with no issue, we tossed out the litter and put the box in the recycle. For those reasons, we will purchase again, but making sure we bring some duct tape for the box and maybe pack a scoop from home.

The boxes are pretty easy to set up (unless you get one put together incorrectly by the manufacturer). However, the entry hole was a bit small for most of my adult cats, and the first time one sat on top (as cats do), it collapsed. The litter is nice, and my cats are accustomed to using it. No really strong odors, so that's great. The scoops provided are pretty flimsy, so having a regular scoop is best. Overall, with some modifications (removing the top), the litter boxes worked well for traveling.

5 Day Road Trip/2 Cats! This cardboard litter box worked perfectly for 5 days and 2 cats on a cross country road trip from New England to Texas. Each night I set it up in our hotel room. In the morning I scooped out the box, collapsed it, boxed it with its "cover" and took it out to the car. The enclosed top kept litter "kick up" to a minimum (I also placed it on a towel mat I brought with me). It also alleviated the problem with one of my cats scratching at the sides of an open box which would cause ear shattering noise. While I was careful in its set up and collapse, it seemed very sturdy. It could have lasted for several more days. Note: I did not use the crystal litter the box comes with. I used the litter to which my cats are accustomed and refreshed the scooped litter from plastic storage bags of it that are smaller and easier to handle. This is a WONDERFUL product and saved me a lot of trouble and effort. I would buy it again and heartily recommend it to any traveling cat!

I read all the good reviews here, and, now that my cats used it in a trip, I completely agree! I gave two cats, one of which is a sturdy, 17 pound beefcake of love, so my greatest fear was that it’d be too small for him…but it was just fine. My other cat is a Kung Fu fighter in the litter box and kicks dramatically, so I feared she’d kick all the litter out the first night. I was happy to find that the fully-enclosed box kept almost everything inside, and what crystals did fall out were very minimal over a three day stay. The kit comes with everything except trash bags to transport poop—it even comes with disposable cardboard scoopers. It’s a quick setup and, when finished, it’s easy to collapse and put in a kitchen garbage bag so a cleaning crew doesn’t get dirty. We’ve already bought another one so we have it handy for a future trip.

Had to relocate with my cat for a few days to accommodate a home renovation project, so I bought this to take with us. Setup took minutes and the cat took to it right away. Only negative and it's a small one people have already mentioned is that the "box" part for the litter crystals isn't really all that deep so if you have a digger like I do you'll wind up cleaning crystals that wind up everywhere. If the box was even an inch or two deeper it might be better - I wound up putting it on top of a large bath sheet to try and catch the random crystals.

My cat is a corner pee ki da guy so it leaks a wee bit. Not all the time but I have to make sure it's where it can be easily wiped up. No smell whatsoever from the box and when 7 days are up its easy to dispose. Good for cats who like to seriously fling their litter in the air!

The hole to climb into is a bit higher so my two bigger cats had trouble getting in. Also it's not constructed well so cat pee leaked out of the tray after the third day. It's a good idea though and was convenient during my temporary moving situation.

I only need this box to work for 24 hours but after looking at it in person its a no go. Its small, I'd say kittens up to about 6 pounds might be ok. There's a hole quite low down on the back wall so you can't put much litter in. The instructions on the website say you can use any litter, however, the box itself says only use their crystal litter. There are gaps once you set it up where the walls meet so there would definitely be leakage. Too many issues for us. This is going back.

Used this item on a 3 day move. It fit behind the passenger seat in my car and didn’t stink AT ALL. Was easy to clean, but the disposable scoopers it comes with are VERY flimsy. Would highly recommend for anyone moving or travelling with a cat.
