I have a Lenovo chrome book that came with a similar hub. The computer was doing all kinds of strange things that I just couldn't figure out. This device saved my sanity. The computer would start getting jitters and the mouse that i had, stopped working intermittently. my first step after troubleshooting the mouse was to disconnect the hub from the computer and work with the touch screen. The computer worked normally. I ordered the replacement hub a all of the issues disappeared.
