Pill Cutter with Blade for All Shapes

It's the third pill cutter I've had, this is by far the best cuts one pill at a time using the other one's you end up cutting one at a time and still don't get a clear cut. I recommend this one

I'm starting to get arthritis in my thumbs so I'm unable to break tablets in half with my hands like I used to. Most other pill cutters ended up crushing the tablet, shattering it, or breaking it into uneven pieces. Because this one holds the tablet in place, it gets broken evenly and doesn't shatter...for the most part. There have been a few times when the tablet has broken into extra pieces, but it usually been one half that broke into two bits. For me, this is fine because I use this to cut up my dog's medication to the correct dose and then crush it into a powder to mix into his food. Since my hands are weaker, I have a bit of an issue opening the thing once I've cut the tablet as it tends to close quite securely. A few pieces of tape over the bottom catch stops it from clipping in as well. It's not perfect, but it works better than the others I've tried and I can live with the flaws.

Great idea to have different templates, and it has many options. I wanted on this occasion to cut a pill meant for humans but one that my cat's vet dispensed as there is a stock issue with her usual brand. The pill is oblong and already has a cut line to in the middle to cut it in half, but I need only a quarter. There isn't any template for that, so I adapted one of the smaller templates, it sort of works. I am throwing some of the pill away because it isn't precise enough, and some pieces are coming up too big. I have to say, though, this pill does seem extra crumbly, so I take the piece that looks the nearest to a quarter. I think the cutter is ok. It is a bit fiddly, but I'm happy with it.

This is a pill cutter than produces professional results. Just apply a gentle pressure and let the blade do the work. Don't hit it down hard as this gives poor results. The soft templates that hold the pill in place are the key to the success of the device.

I try to cut a large tablet into 4 . The template is not large enough for the tablet so it does not cut cleanly .The half tablet does not fit and consequently the quarters are not accurate. This would be ok for smaller tablets.However it is easier than using a knife as all the bits are contained in the box.

I've had pill cutters before, that have cut uneven and made a proper mess, but this one is different. With the different pill shapes and sizes moulds enclosed it's easy to find one that's a snug fit and holds the tablet in place. Every time you get a clean cut in the centre of the pill with no bits crumbling off, and because the blade is hidden there's no accident's with cuts. It comes with 2 little boxes, one for holding the assortment of size/shape moulds and the other to hold any meds if you are going out. Would highly recommend to anyone.

So I already had a pill splitter as I need to cut the pain killers I take into quarters as they are too large for me to swallow. This splitter is like 4 times the price of other similar ones... is it worth it? Well I was drawn to this one due to the silicon inserts that fit different sizes and shapes of pills. Unfortunately, there is not one big enough for my pain killers. It does however have a silicon insert that is blank - so I tried that. Pros: Even with just the blank silicon, it does cut the pills cleanly and evenly, even when it came to cutting the halves into quarters (which my old one did not). It is easier to open between cuts than my old one and the blade not being exposed is good. Cons: It is still fiddly getting the pills into position (whether it would be easier with the correct silicon size for the pills I don't know.) A couple of times it has got stuck half open and was difficult to open it properly afterwards, so I am not sure how long it will last. So is it worth the price being 4 times that of other similar? I'm torn on this - the biggest plus is that the 1/2s and 1/4s are much better and more equal. No cuts as the blade is hidden. So in conclusion it is much better than others without the silicon (with the addition holder to keep the cut pills in), so I would def buy this over the cheaper ones. If it's worth £20, well you decide. I do recommend it,

This is the worst item I have bought on line for very many years the little plastic box for keeping tablets won’t stay closed. I wanted a cutter for a large tablet and there was not one large enough. A waste of money I don’t know if I can return it for a refund it’s no use to me.

This pill cutter works for any size or shape pill, thanks to the super sharp blade and the pill-shaped inserts. I highly recommend this product. At first sight, it looks a bit complicated, but trust me, it isn't.

I have tried other types of pill splitters but this one is by far the best. I have two animals that need tiny pills. One needs to be cut in half, the other in quarters. The silicone pads will fit most pills I'm sure. Just find one that keeps the pill snug in place and close the lid. The cutter is protected so you don't need to worry about cutting yourself. For the one I had to cut in quarters, I just rotated after the first cut. Every pill was cut cleanly. Other products have never done that for me. You also get a small pill storage container and one for the silicone pieces. I always read reviews before buying and I find it interesting some reviews said it was a terrible product. Frankly, this piece is a great value and will do exactly what you need it to. Not too expensive and worth every penny.
