Been chasing down my 04 Touareg suspension issues one step at a time. Removed ALL of the struts, installed new o-rings on all of the check valves and even on top of the struts. Still kept getting sensor pressure fault code. My old pump was loud. I even rebuilt the old pump and that didn't fix anything either. This pump is much more quiet and pumps up the suspension very fast. No more error codes at all! I'm so happy right now. Also checking vcds, the pressure goes up to 11-13bar. Old pump would barely get to 9. It was time to upgrade. Let's see how long it lasts.

It fit perfectly and in the short time I've had it installed it works great. It's also much quieter than the original. However, one thing to note is that you have to reuse the old mounting bracket and it doesn't come with the sound isolation mounts, which are part of the pump. So you should either order new mounts, or be prepared to do a little surgery to move the originals from the old pump to the new one. A Dremel helps to grind off the little tabs that hold everything in place, but don't grind them off entirely, just knock them down enough to be able to pry the retainer off, since you want enough left to hold the retainer in place for reassembly. If it's too loose it'll keep trying to come apart as you try to remount everything and it's a pain in the neck. Otherwise, at least in the short term, it's a decent part for the price.
