Better than Ring!
I’ve been using the Blink Video Doorbell with Sync Module 2 for a few months now, and it has completely exceeded my expectations for a budget-friendly smart doorbell. The ease of installation, reliable performance, and useful features make this a fantastic choice for anyone looking to add a layer of security to their home without breaking the bank. Here’s my breakdown:Pros:1. Crystal-Clear Video & Two-Way Audio: The HD video quality is excellent for a doorbell in this price range. I can clearly see who’s at my door, day or night, and the two-way audio lets me easily communicate with visitors or delivery drivers. It’s great to be able to talk to people even when I’m not at home.2. Motion Detection with Custom Alerts: The motion detection is highly sensitive, and I love that I can customize the sensitivity settings. It sends real-time alerts straight to my phone through the Blink app, so I’m always aware of any activity at my door.3. Long-Lasting Battery Life: The battery life on this doorbell has been impressive. I was initially worried about having to recharge it frequently, but it’s been running strong for months with minimal power drain. It’s perfect for anyone who doesn’t want to worry about constantly charging their doorbell.4. Simple Setup & Installation: Setting up the Blink Video Doorbell and Sync Module 2 was a breeze. I had it up and running within 15 minutes, and the app walks you through each step. The Sync Module helps store videos locally, which is great if you want to save your footage without needing a subscription.5. Works Seamlessly with Alexa: Since it’s Alexa-compatible, I can pull up my doorbell feed on my Echo Show with just a voice command, which is super convenient. It’s also easy to integrate with other smart devices in my home for a seamless experience.Cons (Minor):• Requires Sync Module for Local Storage: If you want to save footage locally without a subscription, you’ll need the Sync Module, which fortunately is included in this package. However, if you’re hoping to use it without the module, be prepared to rely on cloud storage.• App Notifications Can Be Sensitive: The motion alerts are very responsive, which is great for security but can sometimes lead to frequent notifications. Adjusting the sensitivity helps, but it took some fine-tuning to get it right.Final Thoughts:The Blink Video Doorbell + Sync Module 2 is a fantastic option for anyone looking for a reliable, feature-packed doorbell at a reasonable price. With HD video, two-way audio, long battery life, and customizable motion detection, it covers all the essentials of home security. Add in the seamless Alexa integration, and it’s a great fit for any smart home.Overall, I’m thrilled with this purchase. It’s a powerful yet affordable security solution that’s easy to install and delivers on all fronts. I’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting peace of mind without the high costs of other video doorbells!

Good device price good too
I bought this Blink video doorbell to replace my old dumb doorbell. After loads of research this fitted my need the best.I wanted something that would send a message to my smartphone when I was using my noise cancelling headphones. The Blink product did not come with an indoor chime box which was a bit disappointing.I think you may be able to purchase a compatible indoor chime but I didn't research this.Blink say you can wire it to your old system but later I found my old system was not the right voltage. (My Fault)I managed to link the new doorbell to my smartphone and two Alexa units, one in the living room and one in the hall.I had a small problem with setting the volume which I couldn't solve myself.I contacted Blink support and got an immediate automated reply. To my surprise about two hours later I got a full reply which sorted the problem. Basically it was to Delete and reinstall the doorbell. This doorbell is one of the few that you can choose to have a cloud subscription or not.If you don't want the cloud service then you can buy their Sync 2 module into which you can plug a USB stick for recordings.I got my sync module in an Amazon deal with the doorbell. The doorbell will work on its own but you lose sum options without the sync module or the cloud. The video quality is not top of the range and is quite useable but I didn't want it for the video .It may be worth having some assistance in setting up the system but the Blink instructions and website are very good.So far I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it.UPDATE: The video on this doorbell is actually very good.I've had it for a week or so and am very pleased with it.Would well recommend it.

It’s ok and easy to use
Best to use with the blink sync module to save subscription.Warranty is for 2 years, 2 years and 1 month the doorbell stopped functioning completely for no apparent reason, bought another cos cheaper that setting up a new system though. When working though its ok and software is easy to use.

Bad Design
Bought this door bell in addition to having a proper 4k night vision cameras storing to hard drive.First thoughts, screwed backing plate to wall then thought this is big sticks out too far more than all other Ring Door bells ever seen, wider and taller too.Battery has died after 11 DAYS not 2 years.Camera front clips onto backing plate, pushed it home click, then could easily move top away - Within 5 seconds figured how to remove without supplied key. Pullout at top, it rides on a chamfer which compresses release tag underside, no need for a key anyone could remove in a few seconds real bad design. To add insult to injury Blinks customer service need a kick up the ass, i reported above bad design and kid you not this is the response, whats this got to do with it "To assist you further, please open your Blink app and follow these steps in order to grant Customer Support access to your account:1. Select Settings in the bottom navigation bar.2. Select Account and Privacy.3. Select Grant Customer Support Access.4. Toggle Grant Blink Support Account Access on.5. You can revoke Customer Support access at any time by toggling off 'Grant Blink Support Account Access' in Settings. Please note, access to your account will allow us to check logs and settings to assist with troubleshooting, we will not have access to video or audio."
