This Universal Garage Threshold Seal Strip is a fantastic upgrade for keeping your garage dry and clean. The 16.5ft length was easy to cut to size, and the kit included plenty of adhesive—no need to buy extra. Installation was straightforward, and the seal fits snugly. Most importantly, it truly works: rainwater stays out, and the garage stays protected. A smart, effective DIY solution that delivers on its promise!

For 45 years, it annoyed me about the rainwater leaking into my garage. I have replaced the garage doors, the door seals, even attempted to chisel away some concrete to channel the invading water away. Finally! A quality product! Even a caveman like me could install it easily within minutes! And it works! No water in garage! No more sweeping out! First, I lightly wire brushed area. I have a garage floor sealant, and wanted the caulk to stick solidly. Then I measured distance ( twice!) between garage door tracks. The roll was just OVER what was needed, so I cut in half. Laying rubber ( good pliable heavy duty rubber) out, I lined it up as instructed and penciled edges. Instead of totally removing it, I was able to roll one side up on itself while squeezing out the more than enough caulk. That was I simply unrolled it back into place and closed door onto it to hold it in place while it dried. The penciling helped to insure it was perfect. There’s also a yellow line on the rubber to line up the inside edge perfectly- you can gently make corrections as the caulk is still wet. Keeping door closed overnite will ‘ seal the deal’. (Don’t forget to park car outside if you have to go out- driving overstep when caulk is wet will move it! ). There’s plenty of extra caulk, so if there’s any gap between rubber and door frame, pile some caulk in there to make a perfect seal. I put a small piece of Saran Wrap there where I piled extra caulk at edge so it wouldn’t stick to door bottom. Worked perfectly. Rains came after job. Garage is dry- first time in 45 years!

The package arrived with the rubber strip and adhesive. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. The strip was easy to cut to size with scissors. The adhesive was excellent and the only negative was that I ordered the white rubber strip but the adhesive is black - no big deal since you don't see the adhesive once glued in place. Overall, this is an excellent product, ideal for an old garage door and keeps the rain and ants away.

Easy to install and very low profile once installed. The design is smooth enough that you won’t trip over it or roll your ankle. It seals well and looks clean when done properly. The adhesive can get messy, so prep is important. I highly recommend using painter’s tape on both sides before laying it down. I also used a spray bottle with water and a little dish soap (like when caulking) to keep excess glue from sticking to the seal. Without it, the glue can stain the rubber and is hard to remove. Wear gloves and smooth the excess glue while it’s wet. I rolled it out like a fire hose, cut it with aviation snips (easy to cut), pressed firmly to remove air pockets, and let it cure for 24 hours. You may also need to adjust your garage door force settings after installation. Overall, great product — just take your time during installation.

Bought this to put on a threshold border to prevent any unwanted liquid from passing into another room. The height is just right for preventing leakage from one room to another. Material is oil and water proof. I'm sure it would be an excellent product for a garage threshold.

I have an old garage, and I live in the Midwest. We do not have a garage floor drain to catch water from melting snow off of the vehicles. Water tends to want to run to the wall or the garage door then cause issues and freeze the garage door shut. So I made a rectangle around my vehicle, I used the caulking glue it came with and used a pretty thick amount not enough to squish it the sides but enough to really glue it down without the ability for water to sneak under when the snow melts off the vehicle. I made a 45° corner on each corner and put an extra bead of caulking on top of the seam just to assure no water could sneak through. It holds a fair amount of water. Im very pleased as this water barrier is working to keep the rest of my garage floor dry. When I need to remove the water I just use my garage floor broom and sweep it right out the open garage door. It kind of gives the floor a nice washing ;) It holds its shape even when being driven over many times, its a solid piece of rubber so it doesnt squish and lose shape like the hallow tubes do. Its a Midwest solution to hold in snow melt off vehicles when you do not have a garage floor drain!

Haven't had rain yet to test the threshold yet, but it looks great and installed easily. Definitely changed the closing distance on the garage door. So much that it doesn't close completely at the top. I don't know how much of a problem that is but everything seems ok so far.

Un excellent produit, facile à installer, se découpe au ciseau lors de l'installation, instructions clair. Mon père a pris la version avec colle incluse et l'a regretté; La colle est lamentable. J'ai pris la version sans colle et utilisé de la colle PL Extrême à construction, ça tient bien et est étanche à 100%. C'est aussi un bon produit pour empêcher les insectes d'envahir la maison depuis le garage.

Shocking how amazing these work. We struggle with getting a good seal under our old garage doors. Can’t afford to replace the doors yet, but end up with leaves, bugs and debris in the garage. As soon as we put these down, our garage has stayed clean. They are a huge help to know how far you have pulled into the garage also, stop balls from rolling out and have bought us a few years for having to replace the garage doors. They are a Little tough to cut (cut them longer than you need and trim to get a tight fit), and we used a silicone to stick them to the ground, but worth the work! This is the second year with them and they look brand new.
