How well does this work for cutting flat materials like polyester ribbon?

It worked great on my 1/2” poly blend rope but I never used it with ribbon. Might work great depending on how clean you want that end.

Can you use this cutter for several minutes continuously? Or are you supposed to give it frequent breaks?

You can continue to use the rope cutter but may not need the trigger pulled during the entire time of operation. It will heat and cool as you pull and release but you can continue to use it for cutting. Hope that helps and thanks for your interest in our rope cutter.

100 watts. Has a peak temperature of 1000 degrees F. Works slick as a whistle cutting polyester, polypropylene rope and prevents fraying.

Can it be used for Macramé rope?
