I upgraded my HDMI cables thru walls with 8K 2.1 cables and didn't want to use old 2.0 plate with newer 8K cables. I removed old plate and replaced with new plate. These plates provide a clean install. They look nice and fit in perfectly where old wall plate was. You add 8K HDMI cables from wall to equipment and now my path is all 8K standard thanks to Amazon.

Very nice. Easy and quick to install. Was looking for the new HDMI 2.1 cable setup and this works great.

Easy to understand the installation, but the set screws for the female ends are very small. It's difficult to use these screws to attach the cables to the plate. Would be nice to have a clip system rather than screws. Not a deal breaker at all. Overall, high quality cables and a great way to keep a clean look ti installation. I would recommend these as opposed to the brush plates people use for HDMI.

I'd purchased a very similar version of this and someone had pressed very hard to get the HDMI cable into the slot. The screws were very small and didn't penetrate very far into the plastic. As a result they were pressed out. I got them back in place but the signal was not being passed through the adapter even when I took them out of the wall and connected directly through the insert without the cords within the walls. I ordered two of these to solve that issue and they worked great.

Using these wall plates created problems with the cables and equipment I am using. Whenever I had these wall plates installed I had problems with my PC and PS5. I initially thought the problem was the older NVIDIA GTX 1080 GPU I had, but I had plans to upgrade to an RTX 3090, and when I did upgrade, the problems were still here. I decided to move the PS5 to this area to test as well and encountered issues with the PS5 as well. PC (both with GTX 1080 or RTX 3090) issues, randomly every so often, as short as 5 and as long as 30 minutes, projector would re-scan signal and eventually come back. PS5 On black backgrounds would have white dots rapidly flashing all over the screen. This could sometimes be fixed by switching to a different input and back, but eventually the flashing white dots would re-appear again later (not necessarily during the same viewing). I purchased a different brand of wall plates which do not include a cable section as part of the wall plate. It is pretty much a single piece of solid plastic with female HDMI connectors on both sides and I do not have any issues with the new wall plates my cables and all equipment. I am connecting the PC and PS5 to a Denon AVR-X4700H receiver and the projector is an Optoma UHD55 model.

This was a great addition for my new TV I installed. Makes the installation look more professional verses having two HDMI cables coming through a wall opening.

HDMI wall plate works fine for standard cable TV, but if you want to have Dolby vision streaming or high quality gaming you are better off using a pass through wall plate and running a longer cable. I bought a new 4K TV and was excited to upgrade my gaming/streaming/TV experience. I upgraded all of my HDMI cables to 2.1 (including the ones in the walls) as well as the HDMI switcher. When all hooked up, cable TV was fine, but gaming (PS5) and Streaming from our Apple TV, the image flickered and had fuzz or static across the image. After troubleshooting and bypassing the wall plates, I found that they were the issue.

The wall plate looks good and works well, I just did not receive the mounting bracket so cannot currently attach it to my wall
