Worth it when on sale
If your eyeballing this control panel its worth it when it's on sale for the $110-$120 price. I would not pay $200 and recommend waiting for the sales that occur on Amazon, newegg, and atgames. There are tutorials on Wagners tech talk to install coinops x vertical saucy game pack onto a USB drive. Playing shoot em ups on the tall vertical screen is amazing.ProsThe joystick and button quality are very good. I have another arcade that uses all japanese sanwa switches and sticks, and these function just as well. The buttons have a bit of an audible click to them witch can be annoying when rapidly pressing the button. The ball functions fine, but the coinops games it operates are old and not that interesting to me.CONSThe exciters..oh man they will vibrate the plexi top so bad you will pull your hair out. But luckily there is a fix. Before installing or after testing it works. Flip the control box over and remove the clear cover. The mdf is cut out to accommodate the exciters. Glue around the mdf where it meets the acrylic with silicone, e600, or welders adhesive. But do not glue or get glue on the exciters! Its a narrow area. Also on the top where the acrylic lays against the mdf, much of that acrylic is not glued down. It can use a small dab of adhesive as well and a clamp to hold the top panel flat against the mdf. Let it dry upsidedown for 24hrs sittong on the included foam. Getting that acrylic panel to not vibrate against the wood is the trick to a clean rattle free vibration. This enhances the ALP immersion. Took me two tries to get the rattle out. First I lifted and glued the acrylic from the top side, that helped, but glueing around the mdf cutout it what finished it off.
