Reason I had bought this expensive produce. Because it made with stainless steel. As my 15 to 20 year old pop-metal, that probably made with lead with white coating, that were hard to clean. This new product that has much larger and deeper crushing bucket for extra speed and quality, plus it 100% lead-free also no white coating.

big, heavy, shiny. I say go for it for an easy to clean press. But what I really wanted was a replacement for a 60's press made from aluminum/magnesium unit weighting less than an ounce. So, beautiful, but much more than I wanted. The big pro for this unit is the lack of a hinge making it easy to clean.

Best I have ever owned, love the larger holes making it easier to press. The two piece handle makes for easier cleanup.

I love this garlic press! It’s sleekly designed and elegant in its simplicity. So easy to clean, and once I figured out how to use the two separate pieces (which didn’t take long!), it was super easy to use. I got the coarse mince one, and it’s the perfect consistency for my cooking needs. Like all garlic presses, you have to use a brush to get the last bits out of the holes when you’re washing it, and I haven’t bothered to try pressing garlic without peeling it first. Overall, it’s very sturdy and works great— well worth the money. Oh, and the heart shape is super cute!

I have had this garlic press for almost a year so you can tell, I have used it many times during that time. I am 90 years old but not feeble nor do I have arthritis for which I am very lucky but I do cook and love garlic so buying this item was something I looked forward to. I have decided to order a smaller unit as this one is for someone who is very strong and loves large coarse minced garlic pieces. It comes totally apart to clean so you deal with a two piece item. It is very sturdy and I feel a lot heavier than one would want and the storage is somewhat difficult until you have lots of room in that "catch all" drawer in the kitchen. It presses garlic fine but comes apart at times only to require you to put it back together to continue with the operation. Be aware of the description of "coarse mincing" as that is what will happen. As for it being worth the money to buy it? Well, I think buying a smaller and easier one to handle, would be more beneficial.

It’s a nifty little product. I thought at first that i wished the two pieces would lock together some how, but there’s an insert that comes with the product that says that it intentionally does not so that you can easily use one side to scrape the garlic off of and out of the other. Not alot of parts I would see breaking on this so I expect it to last. It did great through processing the garlic I had harvested. I got the coarse level.

Nunca tuve un machacador de ajos, porque no era de los que cocinaba mucho siempre iba a platos preparados. Pero ahora que cocino mas el tema de los ajos me fastidiaba cuando tenia que trabajar con ellos porque te huelen mucho las manos. Asi que finalmente lo cogi y aunque mas caro decidí coger este porque el diseño, y la forma desmontable me parecían muy versátiles comparados con otros modelos. Y efectivamente, es como sale en los videos, funciona muy bien y luego la limpieza es muy sencilla, además no tiene que tocar los ajos con las manos porque lo puedes hacer con sus mangos desmontables. El producto es de calidad en acero inoxidable. Vamos que es de por vida porque su diseño asi lo dice. Muy satisfecho con la compra.

This is a solid garlic press. Yes, it costs a lot more than the cheap pressed-metal and dodgy cast alloy offerings. I have broken more garlic presses than I can remember. They just aren't up for the job. This press is something else though. It's the heavy duty unit I have been looking for. I am happy to pay a bit more for a press that will not bend/ snap after a couple of uses. I reckon I will get years of use out of this press. That will be a first! The design makes cleaning really easy too.

Before writing a review I wanted to actually try it out a few times and I gotta say that this actually works so well. Squishing garlic has never been any easier, you can fill it with more pieces than traditional ones, you don't need to peel the garlic and it will still do its job. Although not sharp the pressure applied by hand will mince out the pieces easily. It has a really nice design and the fact you can remove the pieces from eachother and split it in two to make scraping, cleaning and washing easier makes it so much more efficient. Grip of the handle is very ergonomic and the product feels nice and heavy and really sturdy. Definitely worth the price.
