Why did you pick this product vs others?: I chose this for the Black &Decker name. It came with two blades and I love it. I use it in my sewing room to take apart jeans as well as to cut through canvas and other thicker fabrics. If cutting a straight line is not necessary, I’ll reach for the electric cutter. Once you press the safety button to start cutting, you don’t need to keep your finger on it. Very easy to use. I have cut standard cardboard with it. It works well but it’s a little slow on something that stiff and unyielding. Don’t expect to go through it like buttah! Be patient. It charges with a USB-c and has a great little display so you know what your current charge is when you plug it in. Thumbs up!

This is my first review ever on Amazon. These Rechargeable BLACK+DECKER 4V MAX Cordless Electric Scissors are easy to use and they work great for the purposes described. I use them mostly for cutting up cardboard boxes and cutting open plastic clam shell packaging and these scissors do both jobs remarkably well. I have found it best to have a full charge for very thick cardboard or plastic. I am very satisfied with these scissors and happy that I bought them. FYI, I could not find BLACK+DECKER replacement blades for these scissors anywhere online. However, after some research, I discovered and bought from Amazon the "WORKPRO 2 Pack Replacement Blade for 4V Cordless Electric Scissors, "O" and "D" Type Cutter Blade Replacement, Fits W125206AE". The WORKPRO replacement blades are identical to the BLACK+DECKER blades, and they actually do fit and work with these BLACK+DECKER scissors.

After using these on multiple projects—including thick wool—I’m really impressed. They cut smoothly, hold a charge well, feel sturdy, and are nice and sharp. Best of all, they save my hands from getting sore during longer cutting sessions. Very easy to use, they go fast to watch yourself, and plow through thickness with ease.

Great scissors. They are very sharp, very fast and not nearly as loud as the pair I used to have. They have a safety feature requiring two buttons to be pushed as the same time to run but it is a very comfortable grip. I like that they are USB powered and not battery operated, which makes them lighter. I have yet to see how long the charge will last so I can't address that issue yet. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought this after having wrist surgery. I make handmade cat toys on my embroidery machine and am often cutting through 4-5 layers of materials. I usually use tailor scissors but that was unmanageable after my surgery. These do have a slight learning curve for precision cutting cut they just wanna cut forward. They are sharp and do not pull or tear the fabric but cut it. They make short work of what took me twice as long. They do look rather dangerous but once you get comfortable you realize how easy they are to control. I haven't noticed a problem with short battery life, but that's also depends on your specific use. I plug mine in every night. I also noticed my fancy phone charging block (type c to type c) WILL NOT charge them, but a generic one (usb to type c) will. There are downsides though. The safety mechanism is not much different than scissors grip. You have to hold the top button while gripping the trigger. It is easier than scissors, but it still kinda hurts me. So if you're buying due to wrist pain, know that it uses the same muscles to grip. The majority of my pain was with the thumb and the "opening the scissors" motion. This uses the "closed scissor" grip. The other downside is the noise. These are so loud. I'm usually working with loud embroidery machines and music blaring in my ear buds, but they are not quiet at all. On the whole, I'm really glad I invested in these and I'm thinking about getting a second pair for when these run out of battery. I also bought the Black and Decker electric rotary cutter and will leave a review on that listing.

Customer service at Black and Decker is EXCELLENT! I lost the charging cable and they replaced it for free and included an extra one! BTW scissors work beautifully. A little noisy but otherwise easy to use. 5 stars!

Works great, cuts very well, charges really quickly. The only issue is that is really loud

I gave a Worx roto cutter for boxes, but got this just for clothing material. These are less noisy than some, and I prefer the scissor type for cutting cloth. These work very well.

Wasn't really sure what to expect. But I have to say i was delighted. It is easy to use. Yes it's a bit noisy but worth it for the ease of use. I bought it to cut fabric. And so far it's had no problem going through 4 layers of100% cotton. A little more expensive than some other similar products but seems like good quality.

Good stuff value for money pretty sturdy n handy .. a good buy
