WILSON NCAA MVP Rubber Basketball

Wilson always has made a great affordable basketball. Bought a few in different sizes. Never had a problem with anything Wilson.

It is VERY hard to find a size 4 basketball ... Size 4 is recommended for 5-8 year olds of both genders, and is 25.5 inches in circumference. We had searched for weeks for one (for my 6 year old daughter).The mini size is too small, basically a goofy toy, and doesn't really help them to learn actual physical skills required to dribble and pass, let alone shoot.The more common size 5 -- is actually too large for this age group, and will lead to a frustrating experience. This is the ideal middle ground, and we have already seen a difference. Within days my daughter, who had never done anything more than fling her rubber ball at her fisher price hoop years back, is now dribbling, switching hands, looking up while moving back and forth, and handling legit bounce passes.It might seem, overly nerdy or odd to get the right sized ball -- but coaches and experts make those size charts for a reason. Kids as young as 5 can use this one and it will improve their learning curve, while also striking a balance between challenging them and helping them to progress and feel like they are sharpening actual basketball skills.So, a rare true size 4 ball (we checked everywhere target, dicks, etc and could not find one) ... for parents who really want their kids to start learning foundational basics of the game.

I bought this size 4 Wilson NCAA basketball for my 6 year old to use while learning how to dribble and shoot, it's a perfect size for her small hands! It has a good feel to it, for a rubber ball.However... the black lines are painted on kind of shaky and don't stay in the lines so it makes the ball look cheap. Also, the ball loses air pretty fast and we have to pump it back up fairly regularly. For those two reasons I knocked off a star.However, for the price we can't really complain! I'd buy again if needed.

Good size for 4-year-old. A little soft, but then it's probably great for young kids.

In the beginning, the ball worked well. But now, it does not hold air for a full day.

We got this for our son, who’s six, and it’s the perfect size. However, we have to inflate it every time we use it, even if it’s the very next day. We tried bringing it inside at night thinking it might be the colder night air (?) but that didn’t matter. Sadly, I just missed the return window so we’re stuck with it. Loved the size and cost - just wish it would hold air.

Got it for my 3 year old because its lighter, smaller and wont give him a concussion when he goes for a rebound, great for little ones, i would not play ball with it other wise. Good dor what i need it and it was exactly what i was expecting.

This ball is constantly going flat !!

After reading ALL the reviews this is a MUST buy!I took the liberty of showing 4 basketballs (29.5”, 27.5”, the Wilson 24”, the pink and white I believe is a Mini Dunk).My son who is 6 years young LOVES his Wilson NCAA basketball!PERFECT size and weight! Helps him with his technique. Great value, rubber great for the driveway! A RECOMMENDED BUY BUY BUY!

This is so small..... not even close to a normal sized basketball!!!!

Bought this for a 7 year old and it's a great size for a kid. I didn't see many size 4 balls out there so this was a great find for a kid who wants to learn to play but can't handle the bigger balls yet.

Love the size. Works great. Awesome grip on it. So happy with it.
