I haven't had a chance to apply this board to my project yet, but I noticed some interesting things about it right out of the box that I thought were worth sharing. Though it can be seen in the pictures if you look carefully, the description does not mention the power indicator LED. I thought this was a neat feature. Another thing that isn't stated in the description is that the board draws ~5 mA without anything plugged into the USB port. Beyond those observations, I just tested that it output 5v, which it did.

I received the item to find that things had been hand soldered on and had not been done properly. Usb connector was not soldered in properly (mounting tabs) and there was flux left all over the place. This is the worst quality product I have ever seen. This is getting returned immediately. Not recommended.

Used on my 3d printer to power my PI for octoprint. It's does run kinda warm though...

Nice small step down converter, came in handy for a project. So far it has been holding up food with a 12V supply

It works since day 1 BUT it draws on a 24volt powersupply only 115mA and on 12v even less, 40mA. That would translate on the output side (if 100% efficiency assumed) only 0,72Amp/0,1Amp vs the advertised 3Amp. Far off, i feel it was wrong advertised and i would not have bought it.
