Just received it yesterday and put it to use with our 2011 MacBook Pro. It is well built, and came packaged nicely. It operates as advertised. It can be a little difficult to get the cover, but the 2.5 hard disk installed easily. The USB 3.0 (type A) connector is backward compatible to the USB 2.0 on our MacBook Pro, but the connection is slow because the USB 2.0 is slow. The Ugreen hard disk enclosure appears to be a good value for its price. I will likely buy another one if needed.

I have bought a handful of these over the years and they all work flawlessly. The tool less design is simple and the enclosure feels sturdy when closed. Has recognized all the drives I have tried inside both SSD and HDD, and the transfer speeds seem stable. I have since tried some other UGREEN products too and they have all been solid choices as well.

This adapter is amazing! It's made of plastic but feels really strong and closes securely. The USB 3.0 is fast and works perfectly. I'm very happy with it; I revived the 2.5" HDD from my old laptop. I was torn between the aluminum ones and this one, but for $7, this is definitely worth it. If you're going to spend $25 on the aluminum one, just buy a new HDD.

This old school SATA SSD was pulling harder than another device I reviewed that was using a competitors enclosure and a NVMe M.2 2280 SSD. The results were basically But they were close enough to convince me the only real bottleneck is in my USB 3.1 interface. I think these babies can go faster if I had a laptop that wasn't 3 years old. The controller supports S.M.A.R.T. and most of the usual things you would expect. I'm curious to see what they can really do, but for my purposes they are fast, quiet, cool, easy to install and use, and they look nice. Lo compre para rescatar la información de un DD externo que al interior traía un 2.5 sata La instalación fue plug & play, solo tuve que colocar un pezado de foamy del case anterior para que no quedara juego ya que el disco es de 7 mm , se ve sencillo pero de humana calidad y la pc lo reconoció al instante. Pars abrirlo solo necesitas deslizar la tapa, no se requieren herramientas para la instalación
