Works well, good value for money
Easy to use one handed due to the user-friendly pump bottle. It's nice to have a water based lube that's not either too runny or sticky and a nightmare to clean up afterwards like other brands. The bottle is pretty discreet and it's not noticeable that it's lube if left out on the side. Does the job nicley

Quality Non-Toxic Water-Based Lube in an Ideal Dispenser Bottle
I like this water-based lube. Here's why.The most important consideration for any lube (or anything else that goes onto/into your body) is that it's non-toxic. This Ann Summers Self-Love Natural lube is. You may be thinking, 'Surely all lubes are non-toxic?' They're not. Most (including some by Ann Summers) contain toxic chemicals such as propylene glycol. Go for the natural, non-toxic option every time. The ingredients in this Ann Summers Self-Love Natural lube are: glycerin, aqua (water), Acacia Senegal gum, carrageenan, citric acid, sodium anisate, sodium levulinate. All natural innocuous substances that are non-toxic and shouldn't cause allergic reactions even in people with sensitive skin.Water-based lubes have several advantages over oil-based ones. Firstly, there's the toxicity issue. Oil-based lubes are more likely to contain toxic chemicals and/or substances (such as essential oils) that can cause allergic reactions in some people. Another benefit of water-based lube - it's much easier to clean off clothes / sofas / bedsheets / duvet covers than oil-based lube is (its stains can be a nightmare to get out of materials that can't safely be washed at high temperatures). Yet another benefit of water-based lube is that it's safe to use with sex toys, including those made of Cyberskin, whereas oil-based lube is not - it degrades the material. The only advantage oil-based lube has over water-based lube is that it's much more resistant to drying out (evaporating) while in use. What does that mean in practice? You'll have to apply water-based lube more often during sex or toy play, sometimes re-applying it a few times during a session (whereas oil-based lube, liberally applied, generally doesn't have to be re-applied during a single session). So that's it. Now you have the lowdown on the ins and outs of lubes, including why this particular water-based lube is a desirable one. I rate it five stars for quality. It does an excellent job of lubricating toys and skin alike, and it's more resistant to drying out during use than many other water-based lubes are (including the ones I make from water and organic corn flour). The current price of £10 for 100 ml is steep. You can make your own water-based lube using just water and organic corn flour (I specify "organic" because it's non-toxic - no pesticide residue or other undesirable impurities). There are plenty of websites and online video tutorials that show the process by which water-and-corn-flour lube can be made. Doing that works out much cheaper than buying commercially made lubes, especially if you go through a lot of the stuff. Then again, it does dry out more quickly (while in use) than lubes such as this Ann Summers one do, plus you'll have to find a suitable place to store it, whereas this Ann Summers lube comes in a perfect little pump-top bottle that's easy to operate.I feel all lubed out after all this lube talk. I'm off to lubricate my throat with some organic Nicaraguan coffee. I hope this review was informative and helpful. Happy lubage!

Water based lube
I am sensitive to many lubes. This one was stinging too so no good for me. Aside from that seemed fine

Effective, natural - feeling personal lubricant
This water-based lubricant arrives in an understated pump bottle with a fairly subtle design you could happily leave out on the bedside table, though personally I could have done without the “Discover your body” slogan which feels a bit patronising as well as cringey. I like the pump applicator which dispenses a sensible amount of gel in one go and also twists slightly to lock into place so you don’t suffer any accidental spillage. The lubricant itself has a reassuringly short list of ingredients, always a plus for any toiletry but even more so when it’s of the intimate variety. It does the trick, too - the water base means it’s safe to use with condoms, sex toys etc and it feels very similar to the body’s natural lubrication which is far preferable to anything heavier or oily. At £10.00 at time of review, it’s a bit pricier than some but definitely feels like quality..

A handy dispensing bottle and a good-quality lube for bedroom adventures...
The “Self Love Waterbased Lube” from Ann Summers is a medium-sized bottle (100ml) of intimate lubrication that comes in a handy push-release bottle. Now we all know KY is the leading brand name in this discreet little field. KY has been around for as long as anyone can remember. However, likewise, Ann Summers are market leaders in all things saucy. It was therefore only a matter of time before they brought out their own personal lubrication. So, how does this stuff compare? Well, it certainly does the job it’s required to do – although it’s not as long-lasting as other lubes my partner and I have tried. However, slapping on a couple of fingertip-fuls is all you need for a bit of added slippery, slidey fun, without any unwanted friction cropping up for a few minutes. As I said, it’s not massively long-lasting lubrication, so you may find you might need another squirt of the stuff after a little while! There’s very little taste or smell accompanying the lube, so it doesn’t interrupt or mask any natural intimacy – if you know what I mean?! It’s also very easy to clean off bedding, clothing and other items etc. In fact, there’s no immediately obvious greasy stains left behind on sheeting etc, which is a definite plus point for it.This particular product is a more natural water-based lube (as opposed to any of the other varieties which sometimes have silicone in them). This does make it a tad thinner than Ky or other variations. However, we found because it’s that little thinner in consistency, it doesn’t kind of clump up and congeal like some others can. However, it’s thick enough for easy and simple application, without it running off everywhere, but liquid enough to be effective and spread around the desired area with ease.

This ticks all the boxes for a personal moisturiser; delivery was quick and the price was good
Ann Summers personal moisturiser 100mlThis is a good product: it is water based, does not have Parabens as a preservative, avoids chemicals that could damage rubber/latex has the ingredients clearly labelled for those with sensitivities, and has a clear "use-by date".You get 100ml in a pump dispenser that can be locked with a quick turn to stop leaks and allow it to be warmed up without escaping - but which can be used one handed (this is water-based so may need reapplying after a few minutes). The price per ml is much the same as other brands. As a personal moisturiser it is good - is clear and dries without leaving a stain or oily residue. Smell is neutral, and feel is good. This ticks all the boxes for a personal moisturiser; furthermore delivery was quick and the price was good. Recommended product!
