128 GB for the price of a pizza—just don’t bet your PhD thesis on it.
Bought the KOOTION 128 GB USB 3.0 2-pack because I needed cheap, sneaker-net transport for 90 GB of drone footage and a handful of Linux ISOs. Bottom line first: speed is honest, capacity is real, longevity is TBD. ⚡ Speed Reality CrystalDiskMark on a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port: Seq read 82 MB/s (advertised ≥70) ✔️ Seq write 27 MB/s (advertised ≥20) ✔️ No cache cliff—speed holds flat for the entire 90 GB dump. That’s faster than the 8 bargain-bin drives that drop to 3 MB/s after 4 GB. 📦 Capacity Check f3probe says 122.8 GB usable space, zero fake sectors. In other words, you actually get 128 billion bytes—rare at this price. 🔨 Build & Ergonomics Retractable slider clicks positively; no cap to lose, no accidental pocket-retraction. Orange shell is glossy ABS—survived a 4 ft drop onto concrete with only a scuff. Key-ring hole is molded through the body, not just a thin loop—feels strong enough for a carabiner commute. 🌡️ Heat & Longevity After three full fills, the case gets warm, not hot; no thermal throttle. SMART-like flash health (via flash-id ) shows Toshiba 3D TLC—respectable for budget gear. Still, no TBW rating posted, so treat it like a rental, not a vault. 🧪 Torture Test Wrote 110 GB, deleted, rewrote five cycles—zero reallocated blocks, speed unchanged. I’ll update if it dies, but for under ten bucks each, I’m already ahead of the cloud-storage roulette. Pros Real capacity, no counterfeit shell game. USB 3 speeds that sustain, not sprint-and-collapse. Two-pack = instant backup or wedding-photo handout. Cons Write speed is still spinning-disk era; fine for media, painful for 4K raw video. No activity LED—you’ll guess when it’s done. Warranty is 24 months, but RMA shipping to China costs more than the drive. Bottom Line Four stars because it delivers exactly what a sub-10 stick should: genuine gigabytes, steady mid-tier speeds, and no sudden death (so far). Keep your irreplaceable files on an SSD; keep KOOTION in the glove box for “oops, I need that ISO” moments.

Two out of three ain’t bad
Two out of three of these work great on my TV one just would not work for some reason I use it on my Roku TV as a DVR on live TV

Good amount of storage for your money
I am consistently getting about 30 MB/s transfer speed, which I am very satisfied with. Otherwise it works very easily, it came exFAT formatted and ready for use. For 64 GB the overall cost/value equation tells me this was a very good purchase.

Currently my daily driver
I am in IT. I have had many USB flash drives over the years, some cheap, and some very expensive. I refuse to get the pricier ones these days, as they always get lost and end up being a waste of money. Enter the KOOTION 128GB, USB 3.0 spec thumb drive. It isn't huge, but the price was right, is noticeably faster than my older USB 2.0 flash drive, and retracts into its own housing, so less lint and junk gets stuck inside the mail USB-A connection. I have had this drive for the better part of a year now, and I am pleasantly surprised I haven't lost it yet too, which makes me happy because I really like it. Thank you KOOTION for a great product! :)
