It's certainly just as grandiose and danceable as previous albums, but it seems as if songwriter Vince Clarke decided to stop composing smiley-face songs for a while and make a slightly more introspective, more socially observant album. For this reason, Chorus is Erasure's most enduring, most powerful recording. Crowd-cheering samples resound in "Love to Hate You," lending it an almost epic feel. The uplifting "Chorus" hopes for a time when we all treat each other a little better. It may not be the favorite Erasure album among dance-pop enthusiasts, but it's definitely the Erasure album that is meant to be taken seriously. --Beth Bessmer

Erasure's best record pressed beautifully
Great pressing of the best album Erasure ever recorded. This was the peak of their creative output in my opinion. It's their "violator" (i.e. Depeche Mode). Beautiful album.

Erasure’s perfect album
One of the most overlooked and underappreciated albums. It is a masterwork that arrived at the dawn of grunge and was quickly lost in the US. Every track is fantastic.

One of their best albums!
One of the best, and most talented bands which never received the proper recognition. If you listen to any current music, you can hear an Erasure sample in about 1/2 of them! Darker, eerier... brilliant! One of their best!

It's really the import version.
I was worry about being the "import version" or not. But, yes It's the import version STUMM 95.

perfect Erasure cd
If you are new to Erasure, you must buy this cd. It is excellent and VERY listener-friendly. Even if this is not your type of music, you will probably enjoy it for a nice spring drive to the beach or similar. Very light and fun.

This is a close 2nd to their masterpiece "WILD"..
