I ordered the 12-pack and when it arrived, I unpacked it and waited for it to expand (which took about 3 hours). I then started sticking it on my walls. The adhesive is already on the back, all you have to do is peel the protective paper off then press it on the surface. The adhesive sticks well. After setting them on my walls, the appearance looks great and when I played audio, I immediately noticed a difference in the sound. There was no more of the 'slight echoing' I was hearing due to the sound frequencies bouncing off the walls. The foam panels is absorbing the sound waves, so the sound is more accurate. Thanx

My wife talked me into getting rid of the bedroom furniture and turning one of our guest bedrooms into a full blown studio / creative space. Probably a six month project, but I’m glad she talked me into it. I’m already having fun putting it together. Searched for acoustic foam and had a few in mind from other companies. Then, I ran across these. The price was right and they looked great, so I thought I’d give the pack of 12 (black and grey) a try. The package arrived quickly. At first I didn’t think most of them would expand all the way. But in less than 24 hours they were all expanded and ready to apply. The extra wall applications that come with them look like they’d work well, but I ended up using several Command Strips on each, just to make sure they didn’t fall. Before peeling off the backing on the foam, I put Scotch Tape on the back and experimented with a grey / black pattern, just to get a feel for the design. Glad I decided to test first, because I prefer the all black pattern. I’m going to save the grey foam for the closet. The room is still pretty open, but I already hear a difference. I’ll be ordering more of these over the next few months as the room comes together. I’ll also be updating the review with more pics. Excellent product.

I would like to point out that the gray and the black are different patterns, although very slightly different they’re not the same, doesn’t matter to me but might for some. Adhesive on the back made them easy to put up and they look good. When pulling them out of the package they were VERY compressed, mainly the ones on the tops and bottoms of the packages, all I had to do was pull lightly on the foam in some spots to allow it to expand and pull away from other material and leave them be. I let them sit for the 24 hours that it instructed and came back and they were good to go, some spots needed a tad more light pulling to get away from the other material but all in all this is a nice and easy product to use.

Terrible ... do NOT PURCHASE!! Tiles start peeling off the wall within 2 or 3 weeks. Adhesive sticks on the Wall but not to the foam tiles. Put up an intricate patters in an conditioned office and foam tiles are peeling off the wall, hanging down and some falling off. Foam tiles are clean and no adhesive on them.

VERY happy with this order, these are very high quality sound panels which recovered very quickly (less than an hour or two) upon receipt, and adhesed to the wall without any issues. However, for any sound panel noobies, there are things that you should be aware of re setup: - Everyone and their mothers love to complain about panels arriving flattened, but how else could retailers effectively sell them without vacuum sealing them for storage?? If they arrive flattened, I can tell you that the odds of them recovering (or 'fluffing up') naturally once unpacked depends heavily on your environment (temperature, humidity, moving air, abundance of space perhaps?). Instead, don't sit around waiting for them to recover on their own if they're taking a while.. just throw them in the dryer for 5min, or go over them with a hand-steamer if you have one. Be careful not to burn yourself in the process if using the steamer method, but you'll find that they will recover RIGHT AWAY! - Should drying/steaming affect the adhesive backing in any way, don't fret.. just get your hands on some craft double-sided adhesive paper used for applying stuff on the wall (though you may have to cut to size if you're not able to find exact measurements), or those super-useful & nifty removable/reusable 3M velcro strips and add 4 to each corner of these panels, or even try adhesive spray! Any of these will put you back in business! - Although fantastic, some panels WILL get discolored if directly exposed to sunlight (depending on quality, not all are created equal !), so be careful to keep them out of it.. particularly if you purchased lighter colors. - Finally, although convenient for retailers & sellers, vacuum sealing DOES have the unfortunate side effect of pinching the anatomy of some panels so severely, that no amount of waiting/drying/steaming will help them recover and regain their intended shape again. If you're all about looks/aesthetics moreso than pure function, then these panels will be a lost cause for you; I can say that I've only experienced this on maybe 5-10% of the panels I ordered. Should this happen to you, let Amazon know and they'll reimburse you accordingly, just make sure to provide clear photos of the issue as proof. Hope this helps any current/future buyers, cheerio!

El producto llegó en tiempo y forma, el producto correspondía a la descripción del vendedor, el material era de una calidad buena y el adhesivo se adhirió bien a la superficie (en este caso muro de yeso), uno de los puntos negativos del producto quizá sea la densidad, pues son un poco delgados considerando que uno de sus principales usos el servir de material acústico aislante. En mi caso los utilice de manera decorativa, no he realizado mediciones de acústica mediante calibración para obtener una respuesta de las frecuencias que estos paneles absorben, más sin embargo he notado una reducción en las frecuencias altas (agudos) según la respuesta de la sala esto podría afectar en el proceso de mezcla musical, por lo que no los recomiendo para acondicionamiento acústico pues esto lejos de mejorar la respuesta de la sala podría afectar el resultado en la mezcla, como decoración son visualmente atractivos pero hasta ahí le veo utilidad. Con respecto al precio si considero que son un poco costosos pues considero que son meramente decorativos , podrían ser más claro con la descripción del producto pues creo que es importante mencionar que no cubren todas las frecuencias más importantes llegando así a crear en taponamiento acústico. En resumen: son costos, no sirven para acondicionamiento acústico son más decorativos.

Although I’m sure it’ll do the same job roughly that a more rigid panel would’ve, their shape is some less consistent than I expected

The items are very soft as opposed to advertised as dense foam.. It did not made any difference in my listening environment, made it worst instead, as now sounds moves uneven across my listening room.. Very disappointed..
