I love that they have covers on the trays and they are so clear. I’ve tried to get the ice out while the cover is still on lol I would definitely recommend them.

Perfect mold

This ice mold is the best of the three types I've tested. It is easy to fill as there is a line in the solid part that shows you how much water to put it. Then, the silicone top presses down on the solid part and there are air release holes in each ball to insure it actually forms round balls. Once frozen, it is very easy to release the balls. They all come out separated and round. To release them you run a little water over the solid tray of the mold then flip it back over and press on the flexible center of each ball and they fall right into the solid tray. Excellent !! I only gave this 4 stars because the balls it makes are not really 2.2" only 2". I drink Scotch on the rocks and prefer a larger ice ball but this works okay so I'm keeping this mold.

This makes awesome ice balls using the provided instructions, some of the time. My actual rating is a 3.5. Amazon won't allow that rating. For the price it is a good value. I like not needing a separate funnel. If I owned the company, I would improve this product by adding some type of external clamping system to keep the mold halves held together tightly. I have had mostly good luck getting completely round ice balls, but sometimes the molds separate slightly and leave a thin layer of ice around the ice balls in the space between the mold halves. The loss of water causes the ice balls to have a flat spot on top. I would also make the molded rings that make the trays stackable, deeper. One of mine slid off the stack and broke the handle off when it hit the floor. There are a series of two tabs around the edge of the trays to hold the halves together. They seem to get weaker with time, making it harder to make perfectly round ice balls. If I were using ice balls in a business that being perfectly round mattered, I would probably try a different design. Since I don't care if there is a flat spot and I like being able to quickly make 12 ice balls at a time, this serves my needs.

Makes perfectly round ice to elevate any cocktail. I also like that it makes six at a time.

These are fine for cocktails and small glasses. Very,very easy to use.
