EZ Drivers are a great innovation. SKR 3 EZ is feature loaded and should be your next upgrade!
There is a lot to say about this board as I have been a BTT supporter for awhile with their SKR Mini e3 boards as well as their TFT screens. Since this was not as "plug and play" there were some learning curves, but nothing that was very difficult to figure out. Here are some of my highlights and lowlights from my experience with this board Pros: EZ Drivers: It's in the name. These are literally just plug in and they work. No more moving pins or plugging things in backwards. They go in one way and make driver installation completely fool proof. The TMC2209 drivers do allow for sensor less homing, but I chose not to enable that on this board and just use endstops and firmware limits for my bed size. They are completely silent so you don't have to worry about any noise coming from the printer which is as to be suspected with the TMC2209s. This board also has 5 independent drivers so you can run G34 Auto Align on your dual lead screws which is a gamechanger for leveling and accuracy. Fan Control: 3 controllable fans on this board is a great option so you don't always have to have fans running when the printer is idle. All my fans are 24v so there was no need for me to utilize the different voltage but having that option is very welcome! Control Board: 32-bit ARM Cortex-M7 board is almost overkill, but that's fine by me. For my needs, it will never have any issues and will process whatever, whenever I need it to. CONS Firmware: If you are not familiar with compiling your own firmware, you will not find precompiled versions for this board as readily available as you may think. I'm sure over time there will be plenty out there but if you are not comfortable creating your own firmware you may want to do a little research or be prepared to learn. This is not as plug and play as the SKR Mini E3 boards. Quality Control: I don't know where to put this one, but the first board I received was clearly a board that was returned by someone. There were no cables, no duck, and multiple drivers were loose in the box. At first, I thought that I had enough cables and ducks so it wasn't a big deal but after wiring the board up, it didn't work whatsoever. I triple checked the pinouts, did my diagnostics and got NOTHING. After going back and forth with customer service to no avail, I just returned it for a new board. The replacement worked perfectly wired the exact same way and it came with all the products I was expecting. Thankfully I bought this on Amazon and could return it. This was concerning since I bought this through BIGTREETECH's Amazon store but I guess they are sending out possibly returned product as new which is concerning. Overall, the board itself is GREAT and I would recommend it to anyone looking to get some additional features and possibly run Klipper, Sensorless Homing, or Dual Z Leads. I can overlook the initial product issue since it was taken care of, but I didn't like that returned product was being shipped for new orders. This needs to be resolved so the same thing doesn't happen in the future. I still am a BTT fan overall because the product speaks for itself at the end of the day!

Excellent board
I used this board as part of a general reconstruction of my Ender 5 Plus. I had no problems at all integrating it with the existing sensors, heaters, motors, etc., and configuring it to use Klipper firmware with the existing hardware also went perfectly smoothly. Highly recommended as an upgrade or for built-from-scratch printers!

Klipper - USB communication failure
Bought this for upgrade of my 8 bit Klipper MCU. Unfortunately, I did not see the many failure reports. Mine would not initialize the USB connection for the Klipper firmware even though I followed the BTT instructions to the letter. Very disappointed!!! Returning for a refund, and will think twice before buying other BTT products. Update: I decided to burn a little more time with this before returning it. and have learned a few things trying to make it work as a Klipper MCU: 1. The documentation is grossly incorrect for the EZ version of this board. - Pin mapping is a mess. 2. The CPU is a 723, not the documented 743. 3. The standard SD card bootloader would not allow Klipper firmware to run properly, which meant no USB communication. Had to load the Klipper firmware in DFU mode, wiping the standard bootloader. 4. In order to make this work with 6 motors (X, Y, Z, Z1, E, Y1), the two Z connectors are hardwired to operate in parallel. 5. Some if the I/O is shared between various interfaces which means that some of the "normal" connections are useless. Running 5 motors will mean that either the Hotend or the bed heater (HE0 or HB) needs an additional high current driver triggered off one of the CNC fan ports. In addition to this only two of the CNC fan ports are available, so you get one for a heater and another for a filament cooler. Want a second extruder on this configuration? Forget it. There is more but that's all I can remember at the moment. In the end I think I have what I need running, but not fully setup yet, and no room for any future expansion.

Klipper requires custom firmware build ...
Board appears to work, but haven't finished install yet. Thermisters are providing the correct readings. Wasted several days debugging an unresponsive USB port. While the customer service agent was responsive, they were clearly working from a script ::: "Must be power supply, verify fuses" ... Once I found several discussion threads that showed that the problem is changing the shipping mcu without updating the firmware to match, I built the firmware for the installed mcu and the usb magically worked fine. The agent's response was that it was a recent supplier change, but the discussion threads are years old. Essentially this problem should never have happened, because it took longer for them to change the production line than it would have for them to post the matching firmware with instructions for where to look to figure out which build to use. Even putting that issue at the top of the script would make more sense. Minus one star for creating an avoidable problem, and another for years of wasting customer's time resolving their laziness.

Great board !
This board is really very good and excellent quality. I received the version with the faster STM32H723 processor. Configuration for a Marlin 2.1 compile was a breeze, as easy as with and old MKS gen L board. The plug in EZ stepper drivers are another great feature. If you’re looking for an effective upgrade controller board this is a solid option.

Amazing upgrade.
I bought this as a replacement on my ender 3 pro. It had an original 4.2.2 (loud) board. This is dead silent. I forget I’m printing sometimes as I don’t hear it. There were a few connectors I needed to change out but not too bad. You will need a new case to store the board in. The original one on ender 3 pro is too small.

Mine came with the faster (550mhz) cpu.. The setup easy,. Use "default_envs = STM32H723Vx_btt" in platform.ino rather than "default_envs = STM32H743Vx_btt". use "MOTHERBOARD BOARD_BTT_SKR_V3_0_EZ" and everything works as expected. :-) Works like a charm on my CoreXy Printer . :-)

On the picture and in the description, we clearly see a STM32743 and I got a STM32723. I contacted BTT support, no answer from their 24/7 lifetime customer support. After many hours on the web, all the articles are pointing to Marlin not supporting this processor. I will keep trying to make it work but my hopes are low. The firmware is flashed correctly, I have confirmation but it simply does not work with BTT instructions, with Marlin instructions or with any tips I found. Highly disappointed! Update: this board performs as incredibly as it is hard to setup due to the unexpected alternate chip I did not order.
