Essential Oils Desk Reference

Great book...seller, not so much! Shame on Emacity books for sending this to be fulfilled by Amazon. It smells like stale cigarettes and B.O. I left it outdoors for a week trying to get rid of the odor, and it has helped very little. I can appreciate you wanting to maximize your profits, but this book was not fit for purchase, and should never have been put up for sale.With that said, there is some wonderful information in the book and I will return this one and seek out a clean copy from another seller. It's annoying to have to go through all the hassles of a return because a seller chooses profit over doing what is right.If you can get a copy that isn't foul smelling, you should be pleased with all the wonderful information it contains. There are no recipes or blending instructions 😞, but it does have useful info on healing different ailments using essential oils. The oils used are brand specific, so keep that front of mind if you buy this book.

The book arrived quickly and it looks like it has never been used. A great deal.

2nd book I’ve had like this…. Lost the first one when my house flooded

This book is exactly what I wanted. Since it is the 2nd Ed. it still contained recipes or formulas that I wanted. I also have found that some of the descriptions of values and how essential oils work is very helpful as this type of information is absent in later editions due to government regulations.I am happy with the overall condition of the 'used' book; but it does look like it was either wet or very damp at some point as the pages in the front are a little 'wrinkled' and wavy. They are still readable so that isn't a major problem. The cover shows some signs of use, but this also is what I expected. The most annoying thing was the smell that came out of the envelope when I opened it. Kind of a musty smell, like a damp basement. That is going away as it is out on my coffee table and being looked at over the past couple of days.The shipping was super fast!I gave the seller 4 stars because of the smell and moisture damage (although slight) that wasn't on the original description.I would caution the seller about where the book was stored.

I am an avid essential oil user on both myself and my animals. While I am quite knowledgeable as concerns which oil is best for what condition, I can't remember everything... and that's where this book comes in. I use it as a "validation" of my knowledge; when I am faced with a challenge (mine or others) I immediately think what I would do to solve this... and then I pick up my desk reference to see if I was right....There is a lot of information in this book and it is so easy to use. At the front are all of the oils and the blends, along with what health challenges they are effective for. In the middle is given instructions (along with diagrams) on how to perform the "Raindrop Technique" to boost your immune system; this is something that I do on a regular basis (every month or more) as a preventative measure. The latter part of the book lists conditions along with the best oils to use to mitigate them... I LOVE THIS BOOK! Definitely worth the price, and more... I use it several times each week.

Very user friendly and informative only issue is not in alphabetical order pimple has acne, pimples , all skin conditions, hard to find until you become familiar with it

First of all, I was thrilled to actually receive the 2nd edition which is what I wanted--my first try ended up in receiving the incorrect edition, though it made a nice gift for someone I know! Overall the book is in good condition, just not quite as "crisp" as I had hoped. But I'm more than satisfied!Note to Amazon.com--occasionally it would be nice to actually be able to speak to someone before ordering an item. I know you're all about "online" but sometimes that just doesn't cut it. Thanks.

Didn't like the coil binding. I have an older edition of this book with a sewn or glued binding in the spine which is much stronger than a coil binding and is never in danger of ripping on the coil.Did like: a very comprehensive reference book. Well laid out and informative.

Essential Oils Desk Reference This book arrived in the condition expected and packed very well. It has more information than I personally need, but is a very good reference text. However, I find it biased toward Young Living Essential Oils and other Master Cleanses. If you take out the "Young Living" references, the basis information is very sound. So much wonderful information that I have been searching for! This book explains the many uses for the oils and breaks down the blends so it is very easy to understand all.
