I want to test for mercury. Will these provide accurate results in non-potable salt water (ocean water)?

No these test strips do not work what so ever. The product is false advertising and the test tabs are made from laminated plastic.

Can i also test powders that i have if i put them into water or if i have them in oils? i really want to test some powders that i have.

These test strips do not work, they are false advertising. They are made from laminated plastic, save your money and go to home depot for an actual test kit.

Can i use it to test my tea?

Sure even if it's full of lead you'll get a all clear reading. These straps are a joke

Does this test for arsenic?

I purchased this product a year ago and it was blatant false advertising. The test tabs that came did not work, they were made out of a laminated plastic which repelled the water. If you want a quality testing kit that will actually work, go to your local home depot or lowes.
