Medium to firm hold which lasts all day including in the gym, and it smells great I like the matte finish in particular. A bit difficult to wash but certainly not the worst on the market when it comes to this. Fantastic product, been using it for years and haven’t come across another cheaper alternative (unfortunately)

Has a pleasant scent and a little goes a long way. I work on a plane and it could be on my hair up to 16 hrs. Looks good even after a nap. That said, if I were to find anything else worth mentioning, it’s minimal. After applying, the clay leaves an oily residue on my hands which takes several hand washes to get off. My hair doesn’t feel oily at all after applying though. Good product.

This last summer our boys (teens) got their haircut and when they got back in the car I was like - what is that amazing smell? They were like "it's our hair". I walked back in to the barber and said - my boys were just here and I want to know what was used in their hair so I can get some. I purchased one right there to have at home and then found it here on Amazon. Our boys have pretty straight hair and normal thickness. They find it easy to use - not shiny and holds their hair for school and their different events. And did I mention this smells sooooo good!

I was told about this product by my barber. The price is a little higher than I'd like but I thought I would give it a go, my other hair products either offered too much hold and would break down as soon as you started messing with your hair later in the day. Or there would not be enough hold to keep any style for longer than a couple hours. When this arrived I was pleasantly surprised. There is no real scent to the product ( the way hair product should be ). It is very easy to spread in your hands. And goes in your hair even easier. The product is great. I can style my hair in the morning and it still be moldable in the evening and look fresh. As long as you don't apply it with damp hair. It leaves your hair with a super nice matte look. You can't tell any product is in it until you start messing with the hair. I highly recommend this product for anyone wanting a matte hair product that actually gets them through the day without issues

My daily hair product. Just a fingertip worth and my hair is set all day. Doesn't shine or look greasy at all, keeps my hair looking exactly how I like it all day. Even if I get sweaty it holds fairly well.

I typically use the Matterial Finishing Clay by Paul Mitchell which is quite good, but I was hoping for something that would hold just a bit more. On their container, this says 4.5 hold compared to the other one being 4. Well, I was highly disappointed that this does NOT hold well at all. No matter how much I put in, I cannot get my hair to hold how I want to. I highly regret buying this because it's $30 I won't get back. Go with the Finishing Clay instead!
