Easy to charge, good value
This 30-lb biochar was not dusty and the granules were easy to mix with ingredients to charge it. Per another reviewer, it is much easier to use than crushing natural charcoal briquettes or creating biochar from scratch. Many online sources and YouTube videos explain how to innoculate raw biochar like this. I used a large galvanized tub and mixed the entire bag with humic acid, Azomite, kelp, a 25-quart bag of worm castings, flour, molasses and filtered water. Some people use compost, liquid fertilizers, fish emulsion, etc. Anyway, the slurry sat for two weeks to charge up.

High quality
Incorporates well when making the cactus potting mix. Will monitor how well it holds nutrients over the next few months.

Coarsely ground not pieces of charcoal
I just used it so we shall see how my plants react. It is ground up. Water blackens when plants are watered and leaks out. It is not little pieces of charcoal like I normally get it is more of a coarse ground coffee texture. It’s a big bag tho so we shall see.

Most affordable
Excellent consistency, fair priced. There’s a noticeable difference in overall plant development when not using this product. Combined with humic acid and other nutrients and microorganisms to charge it will nearly double your yield.

Good for starting bio char
Good for starting bio char. I was buying charcoal and breaking it up into pea sized pieces by hand. A tedious process. Now for the same price I don't have to break it up, it is already in the right sized pieces.
