Mine came with a light film of white powder. Should I be concerned?

Yes. Please return the batteries to the seller. White crystals or powder on the battery is potassium carbonate. It's potassium hydroxide that reacted with oxygen to form potassium carbonate. Shouldn't have happened but essentially makes the batteries unusable.

The recommended operating temperature range is -40°C to +60°C (-40°F to +140°F).

They're yellow. Are these the en91 type battery?

Are these small batteries?

These are standard AA size batteries. Same AAs you can purchase at the grocery store, hardware store, etc. Our tv remotes use this size battery & we seem to go through them VERY quickly! So I did a little research, comparing pricing at my local stores (HEB, Kroger, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walgreens, Walmart…) & found a seller on Amazon that is much cheaper. I set this item up on Subscribe & Save and get an additional 5-15% savings. If you’re not familiar with Subscribe & Save, take a look at the details. If you find a few other items that you purchase regularly, you can subscribe to have them delivered on a schedule that suits your needs. I get coffee pods, cleaning products, cat food, dog treats, laundry supplies, batteries, electric toothbrush head replacements, mascara, AC filters, etc. delivered every 4 wks - 6 mths. This increases the % I save (5-15% depending on the item), on top of the savings because of Amazon’s cheaper prices, as compared to my local stores. It takes a little effort to comparison shop, but I definitely save $. You have the option to change your schedule at any time. Sometimes you don’t need an item when it’s scheduled to be shipped next, and Amazon allows you to delay it. Also, if you don’t want to continue purchasing an item, you may cancel it easily. You can make other changes easily, as well. Prices can change & if one of your S&S items no longer is the best deal, you can cancel it. Another convenience is that they allow you to set up a substitute in case your item isn’t in stock when it’s time to ship. I encourage you to check the prices periodically to make sure you’re getting the best deal. Again, it takes a little effort, but saving $ is worth it!
