My model requires a PC to operate
HP ScanJet Pro 2600 f1 - Setup is no brainer. But instructions to operate were vague and were for a more expensive model with a built in screen. I tried everything and couldn't get it to work. Then out of desperation I downloaded the software to my PC hoping that it would work even though that isn't what I had in mind when I bought it. PC software is very straightforward and the scanner worked. Scans are clean and crisp. Colors are a bit faded at 300 but at the highest (and slowest) setting the scans are identical to the original. I'm happy with the purchase. I just wish the instructions were written for the model that I bought.
