Piercer
Worked ok but eating got stuck in the piercer, but was able to get it loose. Ears are pierced, but something should be done about the malfunction. Seen reviews on the item later that had the same problem.

Well worth the price!
I wanted one more earring so I bought this kit. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The kit includes everything you need including the blue marker but not an alcohol made to clean the area. The actual piercing went perfectly! The punch was quick with a minimum of pain. The kit comes with more earrings than you'll need. It even comes with the blue marker and a little mirror.

Works just fine
For $10, I have already done 3 piercings! I compare that to the $30+ I usually pay Claire’s to do 2 piercings and this piercing gun has already paid for itself. Pros: price; plenty of the piercing earrings so you can have endless piercings; the bundle comes with cheap diamond like studs so you have something to switch out the piercers for; the gun seems to be good quality - so far so good. Cons: the earring does not sit straight in the gun (see picture). If you hold it straight up it does but you don’t pierce vertically, you pierce horizontally. It does point down slightly. Take that into consideration when trying to place the gun. The plastic earring backs are small and flimsy and can come off. The piercers are about 2 times thicker than a regular earring; for me the piercing stung for a bit longer than a piercing with a regular earring. I’m sure it was user’s error because I did hesitate on my first piercing but the piercer did not go all the way through. It pierced all the way so there was a complete hole but remember it is thicker than an earring so the post was stuck in my ear and I had to twist it out and quickly put a regular earring in (blue arrow on pic). Don’t make that mistake. Commit to the piercing and don’t hesitate. I had no problem with the other two going all the way through (red arrows on pic). My left ear is now complete. Also, I practiced on a gift bag to perfect my aim. Lol. Because the earring points down slightly and is not straight when you are looking through the guide, you have to figure out where it will pierce and get comfortable with that so you don’t make a mistake.

beginner friendly
Edit to add, although I said these were really good after some time of doing my daughters ears and making sure that everything is clean and she is cleaning it right after it is done I have to say that the earing that are used for piercing the ears are starting to change colors and make it harder to heal I have done 2 holes in my daughters ears and the first one healed fine but the second one did not causing the first one to get yucky again. so we had to take them out and see what happens on if they have to be redone later after they heal This is a really good item for someone who just wants to do something simple, my daughter wanted one of her holes fixed because when she got them done when she was born they did it to high so I got this to fix it and it turned out great. it was easy to set up and use the only thing that I did have an issue with is after i did it the earing got stuck in the gun for a little I had to wiggle a tad bit thankfully she was older so it did not bother her but if it was a smaller child it might have been an issue. But all in all it was great I would get it again if I needed to.

It works wonderfully if you do this
The reviews that state they got the gun stuck or that it moved the earring puncturing the wrong spot did this wrong: they didn’t secure the piercing earring in the hole. How do you fix this? You have to put dental wax or putty in the earring holder, just enough to get the earring to stick to the hole securely so it’s not loosely wobbling around in the holder, because obviously, it’s going to drop with gravity and slump down unless you cushion / fill the gap that’s around the stud when inside the notch/ holder slot. For the reviews that claimed to get an ear infection: I have a strong nickel allergy. I have to use titanium/gold/sterling silver earrings OR use Claire’s ear care solution daily after the shower if I’m wearing anything other than titanium/gold/silver. Read further on how I managed this. I would suggest iodine to clean your ears instead of alcohol, or use Claire’s ear care solution vigorously. Get the biggest bottle. Here’s my experience: Yes, I got an infection. Yes, I knew I would, and did it anyways for the sake of saving $200. Worth it? YES. Why? Because I’m broke and want piercings, and bc the body heals, always, and I knew I’d only have to wear the piercing earrings (that trigger my skin inflammation and infection) for a few weeks (3 1/2 in my case -while eating healthy and drinking lots of organic teas). I used Claire’s ear care solution religiously, 3 or more times per day, and didn’t touch my earrings, didn’t rotate them (until after 2 weeks). In the past, (years ago) I pierced my left helix two or three times prior, using a horrible stupid sewing needle method, and it developed a bump or something and I let it heal up. Here’s how I successfully pierced my ears: I played with the gun before hand, properly & thoroughly testing the dynamics and analyzing all aspects of what could possibly go wrong, I successfully rigged up a way to use dental wax to secure the stud in the gun to lock its position so when it was shot forward or shook slightly with my shaky hand, it wouldn’t budge or wobble. I fixed it so it could stand alone in the earring holder slot perfectly straight, not slanted in any angle, and it could tolerate a little shaking without moving. My ears swole from the low quality earrings, (NOT 100% HYPOALLERGENIC btw, but I knew this) and I was worried they’d get worse but they were fine just in time for me to swap them out with quality screw back earrings. During the time the cheap piercing earrings were in: -ears swole slightly, hurt when touched, were very red occasionally -felt like my skin/body was corroding the metal in my ears -used Claire’s ear stuff (all day long just about) and it ended the above symptoms -continued the above steps for 3.5 weeks -took out earrings and they looked as the pics above look: the earrings that are gross were the ones in my ears, the golden ones are the quality screw backs I replaced them with, and the silver shiny one is what the original piercing earrings looked like before (when they were brand new, unused). Hope this helps!

Love this!
not sure why people are saying it got stuck! Mine turned out perfectly the earrings are honestly good quality. Only thing I would say is test it out using a paper towel or cardboard before your ear because the earring does wiggle a lot in the little hole it goes in but NOT bad at all when you actually use it on your ear. These reviews had me more scared than I needed to be.

This came with rubber earring backs that didn’t fit the gun, the gun will not pierce straight as the earrings sent move around in the gun, the earrings in listing aren’t the same that came in pack. I would not recommend this product

Earrings are horrible quality. I do not think they are stainless steel as my ears got infected and had black around opening from these earrings. The gun isn’t great. The hole in the gun that you place the earring in doesn’t hold the earring at the proper angle. This makes the actual puncture into the skin land in the incorrect place.
