My ancient HP laser jet would not work after I installed Windows 10. I took a chance on the old Belkin cable's software not being compatible with the new OS and bought this Windows 10 comparable cable. My printer immediately came to life! This cable worked flawlessly to salvage a perfectly good printer's functionality. A VERY economical fix compared to the much more expensive fixes proposed by my IT firm.

I purchased this to interface an old HP1200 printer to a new DELL 8900 PC. Interesting.. it worked ok when the PC was running (when I plugged it in) HOWEVER when I shut down and try to restart the DELL... the DELL would not power up at all. A blinking orange light instead of the white power light. I discovered that the DELL 8900 did not recognize this adapter as "VALID" so it did not pass the "POST" test... the test that PC's do when they boot up and check all the attached devices, etc..
