Easy to install and works as described to protect your battery and wiring.

These are good size. DC rated for solar. Fits a 4 gauge wire without any problems. When pulling 60 amps they do not get warm. There rated for 80 amps. I'm sure they will work for rated without any issues. I had other brand 60 amp units on And they got very hot. Never tripped but got hot. Almost 130 degrees, I have noticed that I'm getting more amps out of my 1000 watt panels. No loss going from point to point. Heat is loss of energy. I can bet we are getting 10 to 5 more amps because of the bigger contacts inside. No heat problems now. I always check tightness of all connections ever month so that wasn't an issue before. If your using some cheap CB And your system is getting hot replacement should be your first choice.

Delivered on time and in good condition. Another CHTAIXI breaker for me. Use is RV battery isolator. Overcurrent is handled by the previously installed system. I just wanted a way to disconnect all loads when necessary for winter storage of battery. Breaker does this with an added line of protection. Thank you for making products to keep up with my ambitions!

I like that this circuit breaker is a DC breaker and not one just labeled as DC. Single pole is much safer to use than dual pole DC breakers that may be fake units since the arc flash could cause a real problem (fire, etc.). I put this unit in line with a 60A MPPT controller using 4 AWG pure copper rather than CCA wire. Please note as other have that the clamping can come loose. I noted the same problem and had to really crank down the the tension after seeing the clamp came loose on installation. I won't be purchasing more from this manufacturer and most likely will go with Square D QO for DC circuits in the home

The device overheated, melted away the coating on the wire and turned the wire to a brittle dust. It never went over 70A rating and completely failed after less than 2 months. Buy quality products for your electrical.
