- Aquarium Filter Media Pad Cut to Fit Roll, 12" x 72" (6 ft)

I've been using this product for about a year now after starting my own outdoor goldfish pond. This is the best deal around for the amount you get, and works great in my DIY filter that I made using a standard size bucket. Comes well packaged, and can be easily cut into 12, 1' diameter circles to fit in my makeshift filter. Several reviews I read said they received the wrong size, but mine was exactly at .75", if not closer to .8". I place this on the top of my filter (white side up), followed by a much finer filter, and then followed by filter balls and lava rocks. Can be easily cleaned and re-used several times before replacing (make sure you use clean pond water, NOT hose water as this will kill the good bacteria in the filter). You can see in the last pic how much gunk it collects in just 2 weeks from 27, 1 yr-old goldfish.

Ok, just to clarify we don't use these filters for an aquarium. We cut it to fit as AC filters, and it works just as well as the ones costing much more.

I purchased this bulk filter media for a Fluval 207 canister filter. Previously, I tried filter floss but It was difficult to get an even amount of floss in each tray in addition to bio media in each tray. The problem was that the at the thinner areas it seem to be inevitable let all of the detritus flow though those areas while having very little filtration in the denser areas. It was also difficult to make sure that the floss actually stayed inside the tray while stacking the other trays and lid on top of each other. The Koral pad is a good value. It cuts easily. I can cut it over sized to make sure that there aren't any particles passing around the sides of pads and it compresses easily if I want to add a pouch of purigen into a tray. This is an all around good choice for anyone that does not want to pay for precut media and it is a very effective filtration material. I highly recommend it.

This filter media is worth it. I use it for my fish tank and my pond. Cleans the water very well and rinses out well too.

I have turned my pool into a pond and these filters work great in the two waterfalls I have set up. Since they are reusable, I just remove and spray out all the muck with my hose if they get too gunked up. Cheap and easy to use. Highly recommended for do-it-yourselfers.

Lets start with the amount of filter material you get. I bought the 6ft roll. This is a lot of filter pad for your money. I replace my filter material in my IM Nuvo 20 reef tank every week. I end up cutting a small 2x3 inch square for each of my media baskets. This will last me awhile. I even used some in my Fluval 206 canister filter on my freshwater tank. The material is a soft and not abrasive at all. It was nicely packaged and is a high quality filter material. The material does not split and does not have any fibers or hairs that falls off of it. I have bought filter material before that has broken down in the water column and became a major mess. If your looking for a great media pad, stop here and order this! I will be using Koral Filter material from now on. Thanks for the great product!
