Great Remake. Worth it for new audience or even fans of the original.
I must say this is an excellent remake to the classic. In my opinion it is even better than the original. I was a bit young back when I use to watch the original and I did not understand much of what I was watching other than enjoying good action. After many years later of reading on the differences, I realized the original did not have a well written out world/origin story. This series clears many things up as well as introduces a few new things that make it much better. With out going into too much, you see how Skeletor becomes who he is, you learn about Castle Gray Skull, the Elders and pretty much how all things from the past tie into the current time. I think it is a must buy for animation fans in general.

Most Amazing He-Man series!
This 2002-2003 series is absolutely amazing. 39 episodes of stories from Eternia and beyond. Much different from the 1983 Filmation series and the 1990 He-Man. In this one each episode tells a backstory to many characters and reaches much deeeper into the secrets of the magical Castle Grayskull! Let He-man and the Masters of the Universe take you on an amazing adventure with this complete series!

just great! unfinished series, though...
We wont be seeing cartoons this detailed in a long time... cartoons today look like children drew them. the fun part about this series is its continuous aspect. i mean, there are a lot of great cartoons out there but each episode are totally unconnected with each other and watching aroung 35 to 60 episodes of a series can get preeeety boring...This series, though, continues on to the next so the thrill factor is always there... i bought so many complete series videos here, but this series was the first i finished through to the end.... the ugly part though- its also a complete series that was not finished.... BOOO!!!Im really beginning to wonder why cartoons like the power puff girls (a 6 year old could perfectly draw it) get to be big while decent cartoons (most from the 80's and 90's) seldom finish running... whatever happened to more effort and WHY did this series leave me hanging???seriously though, it would be better if you bought this than most of todays cartoons... I just hope they make much better cartoons in the future... this was really a god buy...

He-man 2
I only wish they had continued with this series. Sure it wasn't the original, but it was really well written and conceived. This take off is true to the original story, and features a lot of back story and origin of various characters. The discs I got work flawless, and I really enjoy this version, as much as the original. The only thing I miss was the "talking green tiger", which I found to be one of the most endearing part of the original series, and cause for the most laughs.

Incredible Cartoon Series
I was a fan of He-Man growing up and although there is something nostalgic about watching them now, they just don't hold up the way Thundercats do. However, I was super pleasantly surprised by how entertaining this reboot was. It's exciting, a little dark and very fun. For whatever reason, it's also very cheap to buy and I think you're crazy if you don't. You don't want to miss out on this series. I only wish it had lasted longer.

Great collection of a classic cartoon
This is the total complete collection, every episode of this great cartoon. I much prefer this series to the earlier 80's Filmation series. The animation is clean, the voice acting is terrific and there is a ton of action. Also, the price is unbeatable. I don't know if it will come out on Blue-ray but for less than $10 how can you go wrong? If you are a MOTU fan this is a must own.

One of the best from the 80s
This is the original from the 80s complete series. And it still is one of the best cartoon series around by filmation. So much better than most of the modern cartoons. You will love this set whether you're an adult wanting to live the old days when you was a child or if you want to introduce your children to top quality cartoons. And it always had some positive advice at the end of each episode something kids today need.Buy buy buy

WARNING regarding the Fabulous Films edition (R2)
I adore He-Man and the MotU franchise and would've awarded the collection 5 stars if it had lived up to its promise, but 5 of the 16 discs in the Fabulous Films edition are encoded in an incorrect screen ratio, distorting the native 4:3 AR. The issue affects both seasons of the show (discs 3 + 5 of Season One, and discs 1 + 2 + 3 of Season Two). Fabulous Films are aware of the issue and have no plans to correct it.

He man the one and only
As somebody who loved the Filmation cartoons of the 80s he-man and she-ra I love these cartoons the other he-man cartoons that came along later are good but this is the best the original he-man I remember when this cartoon originally came out it was packaged in a three or four part box sets and were quite pricey I just wish I’d waited a few years till the price went down but there’s nothing I can do that about that now children of the time now adults are going to absolutely love it reliving there childhood and your kids are gonna love it as well

an excellent re-imagining of the 1980's classic
This is the complete 2002 series. It consists of 39 episodes, spread over two seasons.I thoroughly enjoyed this animated TV series. In fact, it's only of my favourites (another being 'Batman: The Animated Series'). I was a child of the early 1980's, and my formative years involved playing with He-Man toys ... so when I heard, back in 2001, that a new 'Masters of the Universe' series was being made, I was really looking forward to this - and was not disappointed.Unlike the 1980's show, this series has genuine continuity - lots of story arcs. And I'd say it's made with an adult audience in mind (not that it's graphic, but that it takes itself seriously). So while kids may enjoy it, grown-ups can too.The series starts with peace and tranquility reigning over the kingdom of Eternia - until the evil forces led by Skeletor, Overlord of Evil, seek to take control. A young Prince Adam is, rather reluctantly, bestowed 'The Power' and transforms into He-Man ... who saves the day! And, henceforth, many of the episodes are about Skeletor undertaking some wicked plan to conquer Eternia, while He-Man and his friends do all they can to maintain the peace. Fortunately, the storytelling is rather sophisticated - and there's never a dull moment. The show ran for two seasons, between 2002-04, and was well-received (indeed, it was award winning). But the related toy-line didn't sell in sufficient quantities, so the show was cancelled. Pity. This box set contains all 39 episodes. If you enjoy action / fantasy animated shows, you'll probably enjoy this. You don't need to be familiar with the 1980's show.
