One jarsmashed cannot return

I regularly order packs of 12 coffee to donate to local food bank. This order arrived late and at least 4 of the jars are clearly smashed - as can be seen inside the clear wrapping. (I have cut my finger on the loose glass in the box, whilst removing the pack to photograph) WHY am I being told I cannot return this for a replacement? I have given this minimum rating but honestly don't think it deserves anything.
