As pictured, sturdy, washes well, nice
Sturdy, thermos cup is hard to remove - don't do it with the flask open, you'll spill stuff while tugging -- but a really good size, not a teeny cup.Washes well in the dishwasher, keeps hot hot, cold cold, nice screw-on thing to buffer the metal lip.Good product, good price.

Keeps fluids hot for 12 hours or more.
I’ve had this for several years now, and I still stand by my original review:Excellent engineering! I make hot tea at 8:00 PM and at 8:00 AM, my tea is still HOT. I don’t know what the “thickness” rating is for, but the metal is thick enough to be durable, but be advised that this bottle is thinner and taller than what you may expect. I am sure I’ll be using this every day, every winter. Quality engineering worth the cost. I can’t imagine a better thermos for hot liquids.

Clever Swiss design, loses 1 star due to a less secure than expected base.
Well designed and slightly less well executed. I was surprised how hot it gets around the top (by conduction I guess, through the junction of the inner and outer flasks) but heat retention is nonetheless excellent. I've had similar products from Keen Kanteen, HydroFlask, Stainless Steel and Titanium (metal, not the misleadingly named color) Thermoses and Zojirushi flasks and travel mugs. It's interesting that the US designed KK and HF designs use 1 O-ring and an inadequate thread pitch - without exception all examples I've had leaked or weeped. And both will spray scalding hot liquid (I make tea with 100C water) if you shake them. The Zojirushi has 3 O-rings plus a flutter pressure relief valve; the Thermoses 1 O-ring with a deep cap design and good thread pitch. Neither designs leak, have very good heat retention. The SIGG has 2 O-rings (3 including the odd square one), doesn't leak and keeps tea hot (starting from 98-100C, without pre-heating) enough to drink for about 18 hours. It also has a strange square inner stopper, with a square O-ring. I was puzzled by this, until I unscrewed the cap on a full hot fill: the square O-ring just binds with the outer round hole, so effectively stops the cap coming completely loose. Ingenious! It arrived (to the US, from the UK) on time and well packed, but must have been knocked very hard en route. I was surprised how large it was. It is only 1 inch shorter than our local Milenium Tower. The cup had a small dent, and the flask, like the Milenium Tower, wouldn't stand vertically. When I looked closely, the base was slightly dislodged. But was soon more or less fixed after whacking it on one side with a plastic mallet. So far this hasn't impacted the inner vacuum but cost the otherwise flawless SIGG 1-star.Unlike other reviewers, I like the fact the cup design is not integral to the flask - I have a cupboard full of forlorn screw thread flasks whose cups have gotten lost in others cars.Would I buy again? Absolutely, though I'll probably get the TransAmerica pyramid 0.75l size.

Mis leading ad
I purchased what i thought was a Swiss made product. But in fact it is made in China. The ad leads you to beleive it will be a swiss quality bottle but its the same as you can get at Walmart for 10.00

Great water bottle.
Very nice water bottle. Please note it's a tall bottle. The quality of the material is good. Finishing is also good. I like Sigg products, a little expensive, but I think it's worth the money paid. Only complaint is that the box the bottle came in was torn, Packaging appears old.

This doesn't come with a tea filter basket despite the listing.
I LOVE Siff products and I stand by them 100% which makes it all the more disappointing to write this review. I ordered this bottle and upon receipt, it didn't have a tea filter basket. Thinking it was a mistake, I arranged a return and replacement. I just received a new bottle and there's no sign of a tea filter here either. The filter basket was a big draw for me as Sigg bottles are unparalleled in keeping liquids hot or cold for ridiculous amounts of time, and I love to have a big bottle of tea with me on the go. I really hoped to be able to brew loose leaf tea with this and I assume the description is incorrect.Otherwise it's a fantastic bottle and I 100% recommend it for other purposes.
