This product does a professional job!
Firstly, fantastic service from the seller, thank you. This product works. Don't brush it in like the tradesmen do, it won't last.Dump it in a bucket, cover with water and use a trowel to compress the product into the gaps. Brush away the excess but keep the brush wet. Keep the slabs really wet as well at all times and work your way over the area. It does leave a smell but that does go. Job's a good'en!

Easy to apply and a great finish
I decided the time had come to re-grout my patio and as I'm getting on a bit and was doing it on my own I needed something easy to apply. The hardest part of the job was removing the old geofix grout but a pressure washer helped enormously followed by a bit of hammer and chisel work. Applying the Easyjoint was an absolute breeze, even on my own. After I'd worked out a technique with the first tub, the other 9 just flowed (literally!)I used a wide, soft broom and held the hosepipe pointing down the handle so I could sweep and spray simultaneously. To apply I dumped the compound strait out of the bag onto the floor and away I went. It only took a few minutes a tub to cover several square metres.. I did use a pointing tool to firm/ tidy the joints but it wasn't absolutely necessary, the finish was good as it was. After a day it had hardened without any noticeable smell and after a couple of days it was rock solid. Even my wife said I'd done a good job (praise indeed) and approved of the finish.Yes it's a bit expensive but as it allowed me to do a good job without the expense of a professional it was well worth the few hundred I spent.

Good Product
I was looking for a simple way to close the gaps of our patio when I came across this product. Our patio was in a right state when I decided to pressure wash it - not a good idea as it removed all the joint sand. The weeds were now growing even more. I bought various products of patio sand combined with various weed killers - no good. This product finally was the solution without calling on professional help. I google searched patio maintenance where it stated clearly on professional websites that patios need constant care. I first weeded out the patio - on hands and knees to make sure I get out the roots. Next I spread out the paving grout. Then applied lots of water with a hose. Finally I got on my hands and knees again and moved the wet grout into the gaps with a squeegee. The squeegee you can throw away after so use a cheap one. It dried within 4 hours and got quite hard. I then removed the remaining grout from the surface with a brush. The end product looked good but a distinct fish market smell was in the air. After 2 weeks the smell was gone. I did all this 9 months ago and waited before writing this review if the result lasted. It's now spring after a wet winter and it still looks tidy. More importantly almost no weeds. The few I had to deal with I pulled by hand. A few gaps appeared where the grout broke out. I decided to buy another pack to close them. I predict that I may need one box every 1-2 years so it's not lasting but according to the websites I researched nothing is even if you seal the patio. The photo is from now, not straight after application.

Does what it says
Used this to re point patio paving. Disappointed that the product now comes in one big bag and not 2 as previous. Needed small amount extra and had to open large bag. Lots left over, once exposed to air is no good. Should be available in smaller quantities

Seems ok so far
Ok so tried this out today on a patio which desperately needed some new grouting. Having clearing all the old grout out of the way, I watched the video and went to work. I must admit it would probably be easier with two people but I managed by myself ok. First and foremost, a floor squeegee is a must, in my opinion anyway. Secondly I am no DIY expert and this was my first time. I basically emptied in the middle of my patio, hose pipe in one hand and squeegee in the other and slowly started to move the grout over the gaps. I constantly kept adding the water and the more the better apparently. It’s early days but I just admit, I’m quite impressed. My patio certainly looks better that is for sure. After about 5 house it started to get hard so make sure you remove any excess before it’s sticks to everything. It’s quite expensive which is the reason for the 4 stars. I have two areas, this being the small one and it took two quite easily. The next one is quite big and I’d probably need 4-5 tubs so that’s going to have to wait unfortunately for me. Looking at £150 for. Maybe they could do a deal on more you buy they apply a discount. Overall though, a good product.
