Packed full of info for a science geek
Wow! There is a HUGE amount of info in this book. It is a sort of visual enyclopedia of science. The visuals are a great way for the densely packed info to be made a bit more accessible, but it still isn't for the faint-of-heart.Still, for the right audience it would make a lovely gift, and will keep them entertained for weeks, months or years!

Superb Science Book
This is a big and quite heavy book, but it should be as it seems to give an extremely comprehensive guide to science through history, touching every topic I can think of from Biology, Chemistry and Physics.Amazing facts and pictures. Very well laid out for inspiring learning.Full colour, amazing print quality as expected from DK.300 Pages Plus. The children are living it, as are adults and house guests!A fact book you’ll come back to again and again. Great for learning about things for homework.

Excellent book, the quality is fantastic. It is really durable and not too heavy for children to carry. My 5 year old grandchild loves this book and I'm pleased with how engaging it is. It is full of imagery that helps bring the text to life. Definitely recommend

Excellent dip in knowledge book
I do love these kind of books, we have this as a family book and all our kids from 3 to 10 like looking at it. There is a different approach to the pages than an encyclopaedia in that there are timelines on pages that snake around and then short paragraphs with a fact at different points along the line. There a lot of different types of facts, some very random that I’ve never heard of and some pivotal moments in history but all of them, well most, condensed down into a little paragraph so it’s not teaching you about each thing it’s more plotting points of interest throughout time. There are some pages devoted to a subject and with a lot more detail like the fire in the pictures. An excellent book for kids to dip in and out of, it’s good for younger ones as well because it’s filled with pictures.

Beautiful pictures throughout, engaging for all physics book.
The media could not be loaded. For just under £15. I think this is a wonderful book and great value for money. It’s a really solid hardback, sturdy book. It has a contents in an index page and the contents page is really informative at allowing you to decide what you want to actually look at.The book itself is beautifully illustrated throughout, which makes it appealing to a whole range of ages, including children. It also breaks down the contents page into different sections, such as ancient world, and during the war (including others as well). Under each section, it, then has the different areas of science that you can look for. It is all aimed at physics. each section is really informative and easy to read as well as easy on the eye because of the illustrations. The pages are also laid out differently each time and it does really make it engaging to the reader.Overall, I would definitely recommend this book to anyone wanting to read up about a whole variety of physical areas. I definitely say that this is aimed at ages eight upwards but even could include adults as well. I think it’s just generally a wonderful non-fiction book for everyone to explore
