better and more reliable than reciever alone. dedicated board for a remote is the way to go
way easier and more reliable than using just a reciever, the dedicated gpio pins for the buttons definetly make sure it works correctly. would use this instead of just a remote and reciever anyday

Good deal for digital remote
This is the way to get digital programmable remote with extended range for 9 bucks. Remote will work with lots of stuff like SONOFF R3 switch. You can also get 2 for 15 bucks from another seller. I did not need 2 that's why this is good deal for me.

Works with Arduino boards.
Got this to add some RF remote capabilities to my arduino project. Was easy and straight forward setup, and range seems to be adequate even without the supplied antenna attached (which appears to require soldering). I didn't have a soldering kit, so went through without the antenna, and the range seems to still be enough for my purposes. Tested at least 20-30 feet, through a thin aluminum case, through 2 wooden walls, might have even pointed the remote in opposite direction as well, but don't remember. EDIT 2023: Moved the project into a vehicle, and range became horrible, even with antenna soldered to chip! The range is now barely 5-10 feet, and remote must be pointed directly at the device getting closer to the 10 foot range. Not sure what the issue is, reaching out to qiachip support through email, otherwise, may need another solution for my project. The only issue, which was kind of a big one to be honest, is that the remote did not come with a battery, and is some off size battery (at least to me) I think the size was like A22 or A23 or something like that. Obviously can just order a battery online or whatever, but I was trying to make sure if what I was attempting to do with my arduino project was even possible in case I needed to change directions, so I tried to get a battery local. At 10:00 at night, Walmart was my best option, I thought. Online it showed 3 locations near me had this size in stock. All 3 of them did not. By close to 11pm, there was 1 more Walmart I could have checked, but would not have made it by closing (close at 11pm here). Finally went to a 24 hour walgreens about 20 minutes drive away from me, and they thankfully had the correct battery size. That being said, can not really knock the product for this issue, but apparently it's not a typical battery size, and most places around me seemed to not have them in stock, so definitely would have been nice to receive a battery with this

Look Man, NO relays.
The unit worked perfectly as advertised. I was pleasantly surprised by the remote. It came with the 12vdc battery and was easy to hold and use. The price is right too. I used the unit to drive a voice module. I used a 2N2222 transistor to convert the high output to low which is necessary to control the voice module. Worked great. The best part is NO relays. I gladly give this a five star.

Defective unit. Should’ve gave me a refund without having to send it back.
Pins D0-3 didn’t work at all. Luckily the RT did. I guess it’s just hit or miss on the quality and I got unlucky. And yes I paired the remote and put in the proper mode.

TX/RX are good 5 function for the small remote controller.
5v output is enough, which is better connect with another relay to drive higher output, TX/RX are good 5 function for the small remote controller.

Utilizzato per controllare a distanza un motore stepper ed un servo tramite un clone di Arduino. Si integra perfettamente nel codice perchè non ha bisogno di alcuna libreria, bisogna semplicemente inviare l’output desiderato quando si riceve l’input proveniente dal pin digitale collegato allo specifico canale del ricevitore. Per quanto riguarda la portata è ottima, prende attraverso i muri di casa a svariati metri di distanza, in campo libero ho testato fino a 30 metri circa e riceve alla perfezione, credo posso ricevere da ben più lontano. La prima volta che si accende bisogna impostare la modalitá di ricezione desiderata premendo il pulsante presente sul modulo altrimenti non funziona nulla (bisogna farlo solo la prima volta poi funziona sempre appena viene acceso) io ho impostato la prima modalità. Il telecomando è di buona fattura e ha le pile incluse quindi è un ottimo prodotto dopotutto per 10€.
