Used to cover car when I am at dog training to shield the dogs from the sun, also use to cover tent from the sun at festivals

I've never used them for their intended purpose but my local baby group had some of these for the babies to play with and all 8 of them went NUTS for the crinkly shiny stuff. We cut one blanket into 6 pieces and have put some in each of our baby bags, car, etc.They do rip a little once you've cut them into smaller pieces so just give your pieces a once over before you hand them to the baby.

While I've never had to use these for mountain rescue (Southport is notoriously flat) nor have I have to camp under one for the night, it's amazing how many of these I go through.I always have one or two with me. The last two kept my elderly Dad dry in a flash storm. Another was placed under my blow up spa to keep the temperature up. And one actually came in handy as a blanket when I passed a minor road accident.None of them are designed to last forever, it's one use and done. So not the most durable, but good enough.And you could use them for mountain rescue or an emergency shelter.
