I've shopped so many different breed specific websites trying to find the perfect comfort-harnesses for my mid-sized dachshunds. They are bigger than miniatures but smaller than standards. The thing about dachshunds is their chest is larger than the typical small breed, and it is so important to protect their backs from injury.This harness looks EXACTLY like the ones sold on dachshund specific websites, but for nearly 1/3 the price.I get lots of compliments for how cute they look and the fit is perfect. Not a single rash or chaffing on either of my pups, even after miles long hikes. My little girl pup has sensitive skin with some dilute alopecia in her armpits (hairless patches), and she has never shown any signs of irritation from this harness. It fits loosely enough to wear over a sweater in the winter while still being breathable in the summer, but still snug and secure - no wiggle room to escape.My blue & tan girl's measurements are:Neck: 13"Chest: 17.5Length 15.5"She's a lean 12lbsMy blue and cream piebald dapple boy's measurements are:Neck: 14"Chest: 18"Length: 15.5"He's a stocky 14lbs.Both wear Medium.

Stitching coming apart after 2.5 months.Just after the return window closed, the harness started falling apart.There was no chewing or unusual use. Just normal use for a couple of months. Products should last longer than this.I probably will sew it up, but seriously, why should I have to for a new product.

I recently bought both the fuchsia and the lime green versions of this harness thinking that it was the same material as previous harnesses I have purchased from Best Pet Supplies. The material is unfortunately different. The mesh on the inside of these two harnesses is rough and will pull the hair off your pet. Less expensive brands are usually made with this type of material and so we had become loyal to the Best Pet Supplies brand after a bad experience with another brand that left our poodle terrier mix with severe bald patches where she came in contact with their harness. I am disappointed that BPS has now changed their product quality and will no longer purchase this brand. We have returned both new harnesses. It's unfortunate because the colors were fantastic, but the materials were substandard. Fast delivery. Exactly as described. I like these vest better than the old "as seen on tv" ones because these are much better made and have padding. This style fits my dachshunds snugly with no pinching. One measured just under 19in around and the other just over. I got two Mediums which fit perfect for both. They wore them all afternoon and even took a nap with them on.As for putting them on, My dogs are super excited when they see their harness. I put my hands through the armholes and my dogs sit up. I make sure their little legs go in the holes and as I wrap the vest round them, I lower them to the floor. Then close the velcro and snap the buckle. It takes all of maybe 10 seconds to get them dressed.

WARNING: If your dog has a narrow or triangular head, all they need to do is assume the begging position and pull back ever so slightly and you will be holding a very empty harness!! It fits snugly.. but there is a very dangerous and possibly deadly design flaw. SO GLAD that I did not take my dog outside with this harness!!!

I bought a medium for my hefty 18 lb cat. It fits well, I think I would have been able to go a size smaller. I gave it one less star because the buckle and everything is a bit bulky for a cat - but it is a harness made mostly for dogs after all. I like the support it gives him though, it's better than those thinner strap ones for him in my opinion because it pulls less on his joints and especially shoulders. He seems to walk with me more instead of going wherever he wants like he did with his previous Come With Me Kitty harness. I could tell it threw off his balance the first day or so but he got used to it quickly. The front neck area was a bit big for him, allowing him to get out once, but I secured the Velcro in more of a diagonal fashion, tighter near his head, and now he is more secure. I would say go a size down if you are an inch into the next size as I was. The buckle itself is not adjustable, and it would be more helpful and secure if it was (if the harness is a little too big). This harness doesn't stop your neighbors from making fun of you for walking your cat. Item shipped quickly.

My cat Beasty loves this vest. He likes to go for long walks in it and thinks it is quite comfortable. He loves the bright orange trim and the little reflective tabs too! It buckles nice and snug and makes him feel safe while walking on his leash. It is easy for him to get in and out of with help from his people. Beasty give this vest a 5 claws up!

I loved it for the first day he wore it. He then proceeded to pull and the harness broke. He has been missing for three days now :(Probably fine for an easy going dog, but definitely not for a strong, high energy dog like our now missing beagle

The media could not be loaded.  Excellent harness. Tried different ones over the years but never really happy with them . My Westie seems very happy and comfortable wearing the Voyager Step In Harness. From my point of view he can’t wriggle out of it either. Westie owners will know that they can be very stubborn and dig their heels in🤣.I did as the website said and measured my dogs chest. He measured 22 inches and he weighs 10.5 kg. I got him the XL size which was perfect. There’s enough room as well to put a waterproof coat underneath in winter too.It was worthwhile the wait as it was imported from Phoenix, Arizona and took 2 weeks to arrive to the UK.Good value for money even with the international postageI would highly recommend this product

I absolutely adore these little harnesses. This is my third lot and even though they are expensive to ship from the USA, they are well worth it because of their fit and durability. Pop them in the washer after a muddy walk and they'll come up like new. They don't slip to the side like webbing harnesses do, nor do they chafe the dog or cause them any discomfort whatsoever. Mine sometimes go to day-care if I'm out for the day and they keep their harnesses on all day with no problems at all - mainly because they are so excited when I go to pick them up, the kennel-maid can't get them back on! Each harness will last about two years before it starts to get worn-out but I do only put them on once or twice before washing - they would probably last longer if you didn't wash them as much but I like my dogs to wear 'clean clothes' every day! If you're having harness problems, buy some of these - you won't be sorry. Once you buy one, you'll want more - I have two Jack Russell's and they wear matching sets - pink and blue combo's and they look gorgeous - people always comment and ask where I got them from. It's just a pity they aren't available in the UK because shipping from the US takes such a long time. The UK duty on them is quite high as well - more than the actual delivery fee! If someone out there with a pet shop sees this - please start stocking them in the UK - I'll be your first and best customer!

I've been buying these from the US Amazon site for years and they are the most perfect little dog harnesses ever. I've tried so many over the years and ended up despairing of finding the right one until I found these - they are practically perfect. All you do is step the dog's front legs in, Velcro it up and snap the clip together. The harness is ergonomically shaped to fit the contours of the dog's body and it won't chafe, pull off when the dog stops suddenly or shrink when it rains. You can machine wash it at 40 degrees and it won't spoil - just pop it in a wash bag first so that you don't get dog hair on your own stuff and the d-rings don't clang about in your machine and it'll come out like new.They do take a while to arrive from the US but it's worth it in the end because once you've tried one of these, you won't look back plus, you won't see anything like this in the UK - just pale imitations that are part mesh/part strap and are useless.If you have an escape artist or a dog with tender skin that chafes easily, get some of these - you won't look back. Ok, so they're expensive but I've had mine for my entire dog's life and he's nine now, plus his late sister wore them as well and they are barely showing any signs of wear after almost ten years of use. I find that, when buying them, because of the duty you have to pay, it's best to order a few as the duty is the same for a few as it is for one. You can always return them if they're not suitable.

Our little Pomeranian doesn't like anything being put over her head, so we always had a battle with previous harnesses. Even though they had adjustable padded straps with clips, she had to put her head through first. We originally bought an extra small size of this Voyager when she was 1 year old, but this is now a bit tight. There isn't any wear to speak of, and the velcro fastening has allowed us to continue to use it as she grew. This is the next size up and it addresses all the issues. The velcro fastener is supported by a clip across it where the lead attaches, though honestly the velcro is very secure itself. Fitting it takes seconds and she happily plonks her paws in the holes. It is easy to avoid putting it on backwards (or upside down!) unlike other harnesses I've used, and Rosie ignores it completely when it's on. A brilliantly simple product.
