Love love love how great the litter works, but I need an unscented version please
So this is just about the best cat litter I have used for my two fluff nuggets and one is very particular about which litter I buy. My old lady cat will only use clay litter, and has very much expressed her hatred of Pretty Litter and World's Best Litter by urinating on my stuff and absolutely refusing to use. I noticed scooping by hand that other litters the urine clumps would fall apart the moment I would touch them and the litter box would just stink after a day. When this came out I decided to take a chance mostly because it's lightweight and I live on the second floor. Oof, night and day difference. I appreciate so hard that it clumps so well and keeps it all together. I recently just bought an open top automatic litter box with a rake system and it works amazing. My only gripe is that I hate the scent. It's not horrible, but for some reason it just doesn't sit well with me and I wish it came in an unscented version. The price did go up recently so I decided to switch to another high quality litter to save some money. Nope. Bad idea. It just stuck on the rake, it didn't clump as well, it just reeked. Within a day I knew I messed up and I needed to go back to the tried and true hardball and ordered a bag so that I could just mix it in and get through the 40# bag I bought of the other stuff. It's been a trial and we are almost back to just the Hardball. 5 stars for the practicality and the value of this litter, but for me personally, 4.5 stars for the scent. Please please just give us an unscented version so I don't have to keep smelling the terrible garden bloom scent. I hate it. But it is the best litter I have used by far. So my cats win the argument.

THE BEST LITTER ON THE MARKET!
This is the best kitty litter I've ever purchased. It truly lives up to its name. The urine clumps do not fall apart so scooping is 100% effective. It leaves no oder once the clumps are removed. Slightly embarrassed to admit this but when I don't feel like going through the whole scooping process (we have 6 adult cats so it gets tedious), I literally can just put on a disposable glove and remove the hard clumps without even having to use a scoop! It really lasts a long time since there is no waste. It took my cats a bit to get used to it bcuz of the finer texture so I had to mix it in with what they were used to and slowly phased out the messier less absorbent grainy litter. Now all the cats are happy I'm happy and when u walk in our house nobody would ever guess we have 6 indoor cats. Its kinda stinky until the clumps are removed but the litter itself does not retain and of the urine or fecal smells. I've tried the stuff that is supposed to just slide and claims to seal clumps (I won't publicly bash another brand by name) but it didn't live up to its name. This Hardball stuff I will use as long as they keep making it (please don't stop making it!) it keeps our house order free even if u put your now inches away from the litter box, it stays as fresh smelling also the grains are much less annoying if u happen to step on what the cats kick over the side it sweeps easy and doesn't hurt even barefooted. More like tiny grains of soft sand. I think the put magic in it. Not the cats lol what they put in it is far from magic but I just love this stuff AND it's lightweight. I should stop praising this product so they don't jack up the price but I'd still buy it if that happened lol

Works so well, easy to use!!
This is by far the best litter I've ever used. I've tried everything and this is the easiest to scoop, low tracking, no odor, no dust, cats love it, lighter than most litter. When we moved I had to give up closet space for the litter boxes. To have litter boxes in the same area as clothes really freaked me out but this litter calmed all those worries!! I scoop each night before bed into the litter genie and there has never been any odor in the 2yrs I've used this!! No one even knows we have cats upstairs unless they make themselves known!! I highly recommend this to anyone who has tried everything and failed!!

Five stars, despite the ‘Garden Bloom’
1. Just to get it out of the way, I seriously question the horticultural prowess of the fine folks at Arm & Hammer because this ‘Garden Bloom’ sent is awful. Like way worse than I was expecting even after reading all of the ‘this scent is awful’ reviews but at the end of the day I’m filling feline toilet bowls with it not using it as air freshener so it’s whatever. The scent is contained so not a big deal over here though if you have open boxes just adjust your expectations on that front. 2. It’s a very different texture from regular litter - lighter and finer. This is worth mentioning because scooping it takes way less effort and if you don’t know that ahead of time you might find yourself elbow deep in a box tipped over with your overzealous scoopage. Ask me how I know. 3. Once you get the hang of the scoop situation, the clumps are wild. Have you ever seen those sculptures where someone pours molten whatever into an ant colony and then digs it up and you’re super fascinated but also maybe feel a little bad because where did the ants go? Anyway imagine that except it’s your cat’s pee and way less shiny but same number of ants which is none because where do they go, really? Anyway it’s fascinating in a very gross way that I promise your friends will not enjoy when you text them photos. Again, learn from my mistakes here. 4. My cats showed zero resistance to the new litter, including the one who historically refuses to use anything other than old-school, standard clay litter. I started with only one box with this stuff and she was totally fine. 5. I have no way of actually measuring this but I feel like the robot vacuum picks up the scatter better. I haven’t noticed whether there’s any less being kicked out but I have noticed less on the floor. 6. This evening I mentioned this litter to a friend while standing next to two litter boxes and she was genuinely shocked when I pointed because she had no idea the litter boxes were even there. So that’s probably the real take away here - someone standing inches away couldn’t smell cats or the weird ‘garden bloom’. Bottom line: 5-star litter, 0-star potpourri. Cats approve.

A Consistent Litter! But not for my cat at this moment!
I have been using this litter for over a year now and it has been amazing. There has definitely been tracking whenever my cat exits the litterbox but it's simple for me to just wipe his paws. I also vacuum everyday around the area so that helps contain any messes. There is no dust at all when you pour and there is a prominent smell like stated. Super easy to scoop, even when the urine sinks to the bottom. Everything gets covered. My cat's poop does stink up the area immediately after he goes but after a while the smell does go away. I scoop everyday and I do not notice any prominent smells that would gross me out. Not sure if it's just my cat because some bits of his urine do break apart or land in different areas and getting rid of those tiny pieces annoys me endlessly! I ended up switching to a metal mesh scooper because the small clumped bits would just fall out of my regular scooper. I do have a few reasons why I will be looking elsewhere though. While I've grown to like it, but unfortunately I believe it could be contributing to my cat's asthma. Lately, when he leaves the litterbox he does start wheezing. Though I do keep an air purifier running, I want to explore another litter to see if it helps his condition. Other than that, I did appreciate how light the bag was when I ordered. But, this litter has been tough on my wallet. My cat is on the larger side so I use an XL Steel Litterbox and it takes more than half the bag to fill up to about 3-4inches. One bag lasts me about a month or longer. I'm just a college student working part-time so I will explore other cheaper options from Arm&Hammer for my cat.

A great upgrade from crystal litter
I used to use crystal litter. This has a particular scent to it. I would say it combats odor quite well, but maybe not quite as well as crystal litter. However it is much better than the crystal litter in terms of cleaning. It really makes the process more enjoyable. It keeps the cats paws etc cleaner. This is because this does not allow that “slush” type litter to form at the bottom when the pee mixes with the crystal litter after sinking through (this happens with the vast majority of litters. Crystal litter was the best I found at combatting this problem prior to hardball litter). It tracks a lot more than crystal litter but I bought a litter mat and that helped immensely, there’s almost no tracking now (eliminating that concern). It’s much better on my cats paws than the crystal litter was. That was always one of my biggest concerns with the crystal litter. The crystal is just too jagged etc for my liking. This is very fine. It allows them to dig and cover at their leisure and much better mimics their preferred potty time environment (sand). I used to put off cleaning the litter to every few days as it was a nuisance with the crystal litter. But with this I clean it daily. I think it also helps save on litter as once it hardens, the remaining fine granules all sift the scooper. With the crystal one sifting was difficult, especially with the pee sludge. So I would cycle the entire litter box worth of litter once a week. With this you can clear out the hardened urine no problem. Very nice. Price points better per lbs too

It’s Alright
I don’t usually like Arm & Hammer litter. I have tried a handful this year alone and none of them performed all that well. I was tempted to try this product based on the clumping claims. I had been dealing with a very sticky litter that would leave clumps that would smear and stick to the box and the scoops. The clumps would break apart into tiny little pieces too. I would spend at least an hour doing litter everyday simply because I had to spot clean the smeared clumps in the box and the litter stuck to my scoop. I also had to purchase a second scoop to sift through the small pieces left behind. I began to detest and resent cleaning the litter. It’s never been my favorite chore, but that litter experience made it unbearable. Once I had the chance to try some new litter, I read lots of reviews for this product and decided to take the plunge. People raved about the clumping and said it had pretty good odor control. And for what it’s worth, this product is excellent at clumping! It cut my litter cleaning time in half because it made nice, hard, solid clumps. This litter coupled with a Litter Lifter made cleaning the box very easy. However, the biggest downside to this product is the fact that it is HEAVILY scented. Like, extremely perfumed. I knew it was a scented litter, but I did not know it was gonna be this strong. It stunk up the whole downstairs, and was very strong for weeks. It took my cats weeks to touch it. I think they were put off by how strong it smelled. It even bothered me, and cats can smell 100x better than us so I can imagine it was a nightmare for them. I prefer unscented litters because they last longer. Once the scent fades on scented litters they tend to become unusable very quickly. I’m uncertain what Arm & Hammer put in this product but the litter has been in the box for over a month and the scent is still detectable. Also, for some reason this product has stuck horribly to my stainless steel litter box? To the point where I might have to get steel wool to scrub it out? It’s fine in the plastic box, but if you have stainless steel you might need to apply some nonstick spray before using this litter. I wish I had known 🥲 This product also has TERRIBLE tracking. It’s lightweight and sandy in texture, so it’s gonna get everywhere if you don’t have tons of litter mats down like I do. I put this in a top entry box and it cut down on tracking considerably. Overall, this is the best litter from Arm & Hammer I’ve tried. If there was an unscented version I’d continue buying it. I think my cats like the texture and the way if feels under their paws, but hate the perfume. I do think this litter is overpriced for what you get. I notice a lot of companies are starting to sell “lightweight” litter that comes with less but costs more. I’d rather just have more litter. These lightweight litters scatter and get kicked out the box easily, so you will be constantly refilling the box. That’s why having more is so necessary. I had to supplement the lost litter with another one because I only bought one bag of this. But the clumping is excellent so if that’s your primary concern, you won’t be disappointed.

FINALLY the best kitty litter ever!
FINALLY a great Kitty litter! I have tried all kinds including Pretty Litter, worlds best, tidy and the list goes on. I have spoiled fur babies and they tell me when they use their box so I clean it and their " tinky butt" ... Kid you not they roll over and spread their hind legs to be cleaned with baby wipes LOL) still even with over the top emptying other brands didn't control odor well enough so I added sprinkles or sprays to make their boxes smell fresh and that's not so cheap to do) I have used this about a month ( had to buy more from store because I have 2 large boxes for maine coon cats.) and it's smells as fresh as it did the day I filled their litter boxes. It holds together " clumps" as good and tight as if my cats were voiding melted wax.... It is light weight and the granules are fine... Doesn't track as bad as lager granules.... However, I did buy pvc? litter mats and they trap these fine granules very well. While there is litter out there that is cheaper and weight of bag/box you get is more... this actually saves money in the long run if you are concerned about litter odor... No more sprays, neutralizers, changing entire litter every 2 weeks, and with at least daily scooping no more being hit with stinky box odor when you bend over for scooping. My fur babies didn't have to be adapted to a different litter.... They know it's their box and that is where they go! \ ( Pepper did that slash saying she agrees! lol. ( really probably get up and feed me or clean my tinky butt!) lol If you are OWNED by a cat you will totally understand this!
