I bought this fuel-water separator to help clean out a gas tank on my boat, and it delivered exactly what I needed. I was running a 12V transfer pump rated at 120 gallons per hour, so I needed a filter that could handle higher flow than standard marine filters—and this one did just that. Most options I found had much smaller fittings and would’ve choked the system. This unit has 1” NPT top ports, which I reduced down to 5/8” ID hose to maintain flow without restriction. It filtered the fuel continuously for hours without a problem. The clear bowl on the bottom is a huge bonus. I could visibly see the water it trapped, and when it was time to drain it, the bottom valve let me release it in a slow, controlled drip—no mess, no rush. I was able to empty the water without wasting fuel. Tightened it back up, and the system kept running. Between the water separation and the debris it caught, this thing made a noticeable difference in fuel clarity. It kept up with the high GPH without backing up and didn’t miss any debris or water. Definitely impressed. Also worth noting: after I used it, a buddy of mine with a boat asked if he could borrow it after hearing how well it worked. Says a lot. For the price, I honestly didn’t expect this level of performance. If you’re running a high-flow fuel cleaning system or recirculating setup like I was, this is the filter to get.

This filter kept so much trash out of my gas. Easy to drain water and trash out of filter. Loved the clear bowl.

Works great. No leaks. Easy to install. Like the visibility so I can see if any water or other contaminants getting in fuel. So far it has been a great filter.

As others have said, this filter appears on the surface to be well made, however it leaks...a lot. I've tried both tightening and loosening (in case I over-tightened an o-ring on accident) the drain valve on the bottom but it drips at a fairly consistent and unacceptable rate. I mounted this on the outlet side of a 10gpm electric transfer pump and it appears to not be able to handle the pressure or flow rate.
