Works great
I was very skeptical if they were going to work for my dogs. One is a medium sized Pug and the other a medium sized Chihuahua. I gave them the treats as recommended on the packaging. The first day I gave it to them about 30 mins before I was going to leave. I had just taken them out and they were on an empty stomach. In literally a few minutes my pug was calm and chill on my bed. Normally she's pacing back and fourth scratching at my thighs and wimpering when I'm getting ready to leave. However with the treats she stays calm and just lays on my bed watching me get ready. I don't know how long they lasted because I only give it to them when I leave for work (I work 8 hrs) and when I came back home they are back to normal. My Chihuahua was also very calm she doesn't pace she just cries when I leave but the treats helped calm her down and she just laid on the couch. The second day I gave them the treats with food and they didn't work at all so maybe the trick is to give it them on an empty stomach before they eat. My pug doesn't always like the treats but she eats them and my Chihuahua will spit it out at first but then eat it when I walk away. I suspect they don't taste super good. They smell like a combination of dog treats and herbs. They also crumble easily so if your dog doesn't have strong teeth they can still chew it and if they have no teeth you can crumble them and feed it like that. All in all I will definitely order again once they are finished cause they work and I'm happy.

Helpful for my nervous guy
Works really well for my anxious aussiedoodle. He’s 20 lb.s so he gets one a day w/ the exception of 4 of July where he gets one earlier in the day then another one 8 hr.s later. I had some different ones that I got at the vets but they were more expensive & I didn’t see any noticeable difference so I’m sticking w/ these. He’s noticeably calmer and these are budget friendly.

It Works!!!
Our 80-pound Doberman has separation anxiety, and has in the past destroyed two of his beds, various throw pillows, stuffed animals and blankets. Our vet prescribed meds for this, but their cost of several hundred dollars was ridiculous. With a week- long vacation coming up, I was getting desperate, as our longtime house sitter does not spend every waking minute with him. I ordered these calming chews and started giving him one per day and then two every morning the week before we left. Our sitter then gave him 2 chews every morning, afternoon and before bedtime. She tells me that his anxiety was definitely down, and nothing was destroyed. He did, though, have some accidents in the house and his stool was definitely on the soft side. I do believe that the chews did make his stool more soft, but am not convinced that this resulted in his accidents. She also mentioned that he was sleeping more deeply. I will definitely continue to use these chews, but will try having our sitter cut back to perhaps two chews in the morning, and then one each afternoons and evening. We may get him down to one chew three times a day when we are away from home traveling. My ultimate goal, though, is just to just help lessen his anxiety when we’re gone. * One month later and we’ve just returned from a second trip. This time our house sitter gave our Dobie one chew morning, afternoon and night. She tells us this was the perfect amount for him. No accidents, no destruction, just a mellow boy . . . and a happier house sitter! Am now ordering my second jar of Calming Treats to have on hand for future trips away.

Took hours to see any noticable results
My 6 year old chihuahua mix has super bad anxiety when 4th of July and New years comes around and it seems to be getting worse each year. What makes matters worse is that I live a 10 minute drive away from Disneyland so every night we can hear the sounds of the fireworks. I've tried so many de-stress/ calming products but none work. I've tried various calming treats or pills and even bought the Thunder jacket, but they all failed. 4th of July is when his anxiety is the worse because people celebrate it throughout the week and in the neighborhood behind me someone keeps setting off fireworks every day at random times the entire week before 4th of July. I'll hear 1 or 2 go off at 2 am or even 10 am and my dog will start pacing the backyard and even found a way to break into the house to try to get away from the noise. I read all the great reviews and was praying this would work to relieve some of his anxiety. UPDATE: I continued to use this even though it didn't give me any noticeable results. The day of 4th of July, I gave my dog 2 treats while it was still light out (4pm) and when the fireworks started (8pm) he was still panting and pacing around, but he was able to lay down next to me, unlike last year. So although it took hours for the treat to work, I think it did help my dog ease the anxiety a little bit.

Our 14 month dog is very noise sensitive and alert barks a lot. Sometimes she'd get herself so worked up she'd be barking every 5 minutes at any noise, and unable to relax and nap. She's also scared of anyone coming to the door, and certainly anyone coming inside the house. I was getting to the end of my tether, and feeling so bad for her that she seems so anxious all the time. We have been using these for five days now, and I have also been prioritising working with her to reinforce calm through out the day (I work from home). And I've been marking and treating her every time there is a noise that could make her nervous. I noticed a difference right from the first day of giving her a Calm Chew. She seemed less wired, and certain noises that she would normally bark at were being ignored. Now 5 days in, her alert barking has decreased by about 80% from the days when it's particularly bad! It will take longer to train her not to be scared by people coming to the door of course, but I've even noticed that she doesn't get quite so worked up and I'm able to get her to listen to me (whereas before she was simply going crazy barking and not taking any notice of me at all). I've gone from being in tears of frustration at the constant barking, to feeling optimistic that we're moving forward in teaching her how to be relaxed and happy and calm! Which, as anyone who has experienced having an anxious dog knows, is like the sun coming out again after weeks and months of clouds and rain haha. I'll certainly be continuing with these chews and purchasing again when they run out. I think that, combined with proper training, they are a godsend.

Border collie was calmed down a little. Was intended for use to help her travel better. Shih Zu didn’t even seem like it affected her. Was used to help her anxiety while getting groomed.

These are the first calming chewables that actually work. The dogs have calmed down considerably and love these Calming Bites. Easy to cut into smaller pieces for smaller dogs like mine. Recommend.
