I had the old Zhiyun Smooth Q (the original Q) for a long time - but when I got the iPhone 14 Pro Max, it couldn't not handle the weight of the phone. Thankfully the Smooth Q4 seems to handle the iPhone 14 Pro Max with a case (285g) pretty well. I haven't had the chance to run through all the tests but so far I'm loving it.iPhone 14 Pro Max has the action mode built in, why would I still use a gimbal? Well, the Action Mode can only record 2.8k/60p and it also crops in the video quite a bit. With the Smooth Q4, I can do 4k 60p and have the same or better smoothness to capture action shots.Pros:- comes with a detachable tripod stand and you can actually attach an extension pole for a crane shot if you so desire because of the 1/4" thread- it is light weight and folds up easily- then extendable rod really helps to do the low angle shots without breaking my back- the ZY Cami app has a lot of tutorials and templates to follow- can attach a magnetic fill light (not part of the standard package)- battery lasts much longer than dji osmo mobile- works with Filmic Pro- indicator lights on the grip that tells you which gimbal mode you are inCons:- Requires unlocking 3 joints to unfold. However, the pan unlock has no indicator, so not sure if I should turn left or right to unlock (same with locking). The Tilt and Roll unlock has dots that line up when locked.- When folded, the mount meets up against the handle and I can imagine easily scratching it- On start up, it's ALWAYS in portrait mode - I wished it remember last mode used - and to flip to landscape requires THREE clicks on the trigger button- I have a very thin case on the iPhone 14 Pro Max and even though the clamp arm had no problem with the width of the phone but the clamp fold out grips are short so it's barely clipping on the phone. If you have a more heavy duty case, it may not be able to fully clip on the phone due to the thickness.- the button layout feels like the gimbal is more suited for a left hand hold- the extendable rod is very tight, I don't want to accidentally break off the rod if I pull too hardOverall, definitely a huge improvement against my original Smooth Q. I was tempted to get the DJI OM 6 - which has some improvements over the ZY Smooth Q4 such as magnetic phone clamp or dual light clamp. However, the price point of the ZY Smooth Q4 outweighs the missing features.

They responded to my problem immediatly and followed up after 24 hours of my not getting back to them. This was the best support experiance I've ever had.I've had a ZHIYUN Smooth Q since August of 2017 and have loved it. My only complaint was that when I shot in "Wide Angle" it was dificult to keep the servo arm out of the picturs. This new Q4 is terrific and I'll ba a customer of ZHIYUN for a long time.Turns out the problem was my mistake, not a faulty product.A shout out to Yilia, my troubleshooter. I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the ZHIYUN SMOOTH Q4 I recently purchased from your platform. Despite ordering a brand new product, the item I received is clearly second-hand, and I am experiencing several issues with its performance.Upon receiving the package, I immediately noticed that the plastic seal was missing, and the box had already been opened. This is highly concerning as it indicates that the product was not in the new and untouched condition that I had paid for. Additionally, the presence of used spots on the ZHIYUN SMOOTH Q4 further confirms that the item has been previously used.Moreover, the device's performance is far from satisfactory. The rotation is unusually slow, and the product shuts down unexpectedly, which is a clear indication of malfunction. This is not the quality I expected when making the purchase.Given these issues, I find the entire situation unacceptable, and I request an immediate refund for my purchase. I believe it is only fair to receive the product I paid for, and as the item I received falls short of the promised new condition, I am left with no choice but to seek a refund.I kindly request that you process the refund as soon as possible and provide instructions for the return of the product. Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.

Have always been a little intimidated by gimbals because I thought they would be way too complicated for my 62 yr old brain. Then I tried this one. WOW! Very easy to learn. (I made small flash cards on a ring to carry around while I was filming so I could remember how many times to press the trigger etc for a certain task.) All it takes just a little practice. The app is great and the gimbal is so much fun! You'll be excited to get started but always remember NEVER POWER ON YOUR GIMBAL WITHOUT YOUR PHONE ATTACHED FIRST. The built in selfie stick and lights are all you need. Be sure to check out the "Glamor" mode - softens wrinkles and there is also a slim button which subtly slims your face. You control how much effect you want by sliding this bar from 0 to 100%. Also this mode also whitens your teeth. I love this gimbal and you will too! So many more cool features - check it out! (Remember to turn you bluetooth on so the gimbal can connect.) Have fun!

I did my first tests. It works really well. Only thing is that it is a bit short for my Samsung S22 Ultra. It works with this phone but if you have a smaller one its probably even better.
