Works Just Fine, until it doesn't...
This Power cord is being used with a Canon T6 DSLR . It has been a great addition to my work flow. I would like to have seen this with a longer length to give me or flexibility when using my tripod its full height ... the cord seems to just barely make it to the floor in some cases This unit stopped working after a short time .. we got a few uses out of it .. keep god care and still it failed ... had to switch to a different brand / type of power for my Camera

Works as described
This thing worked great for what we were trying to accomplish. We setup a DSLR camera as a webcam and with this we didnt have to worry about the battery dying will streaming. 4 stars because it feels sort of cheap. But it so far has held up great and works on my Canon Rebel T3i.

Replace the batteries and headache, use this!
This cord was exactly what I needed , Right when I needed it! I was setting up to sell stuff on ebay, get a collection of photos of stuff I was moving , and do streaming . Having to charge the batteries over and over would have been a nightmare and with cannons batteries constantly wearing out after only 7 months to a point they were useless this was a time saver I needed! The cord has the distance you need and the power you need. it won't over heat and it's ready for use right out of the box. it's worth the price and worth the time it took to look into it!

Replaces camera battery and powers it with 120v AC
It powers my Canon DSLR camera with AC instead of the camera battery. The camera battery can be depleted with long exposures, so powering the camera with an external power source eliminates that problem. For me it would be better if it ran on 12 volts DC instead of house current, but I solved that problem with a small AC inverter. Works great, and the price is reasonable.

Works with Canon Rebel T3
I actually thought I received the wrong item because the box had an UPC / SKU and label for "T3i, T4i, etc.." and no mention of the T3. I also could not figure out how the heck to get this battery inside, and I looked at the OEM batteries and the "shell" that is actually just direct power. The contacts were different so I thought I definitely got the wrong item. However, after checking some more reviews I realized that this old thing, this T3 I've had for so many years, had a little rubber grommet I have never seen before. It allowed me to "route" the power cable out of the battery compartment, which allows the door to shut, which also allows the camera to finally power on and work. Had I not known this or to look more closely at the battery door area, I would have returned this.
