It is overpriced for the quality. It must be hung where the squirrels cannot jump to it, which defeats the purpose of the double cage....a single cage is much cheaper. The bottom on mine has come loose twice, from squirrels, so I drilled holes in the bottom at 3 places and wired it on. That solved the problem of it coming apart. Again, the main problem is it is overpriced.

This bird feeder is very large. My red bellied woodpeckers still have not figured it out (it might be too far to reach). Downies and nuthatches have no problem. I have had this for about a month and the squirrels have not bothered the suet. Unfortunately last night a raccoon did. Now I will have to remove the suet every night.

I recommend this model. The site doesn't make it clear but the product is completely round in design. It looks great and is worth the investment. Until now, those pesky Starling found their way in my old suet feeder and cleaned me out of my homemade suet. Now, the Double Oversized, large design makes it impossible for the Starlings to enter because of the 14 inch round design. I have had mine for several years now and am glad I made the purchase!Oh, the Eastern Bluebirds' and other small birds can freely enter this feeder.

This looked like a really great cage; however, the blue jays could still get to the suet cage inside and the other little ones would disappear and not even try because the cage was monopolized. The cage was really sturdy and built well.

I originally bought one of the small feeders but the squirrels were constantly hanging around eyeballing it, and the jays would jump up and peck at it enough to get pieces to break off. This solved all problems. Nothing to put together, just hang it up and start enjoying.

Wouldn't fit on my bird feeder pole as I was hoping. You can only hang it from a tree branch. I sent it back.

A very good squirrel proof feeder. It took the birds about three weeks to start using. If it was the only feeder I had, I am sure they would have started sooner. I have several feeders in use.

Gargantuan in size, ugly, and birds wouldn't go near them. Returned.
